The Theragun Pro is an excellent massager that really dig deeps into your muscles and tissues. I use it regularly to help with recovery from playing basketball, running, and weight lifting. However, both battery packs require frequent charging as it does not hold charge for as long as described. Maximum use per battery pack is between 35 to 45 minutes compared to Hypervolt massage gun, which I charge about once a week compared to the Pro which I charge about every two days. The Pro is definitely more superior in quality and power than the Hypervolt, but too bad the Pro requites too frequent charges, which is the a bit inconvenient. I am concerned the battery life may not last long since I only purchased it one month ago.

The PRO is a good little machine. They claim it runs quieter than the previous models, but I have never heard them so I can’t give an opinion. The different speed settings are nice. The pre-set programs are nice too. My only problem is there is no guidance or instructions on how to use the attachments. I downloaded the app and that does not indicate how to use them either. It’s a shame because they give you 6 of them to use. I know there had to be a reason they invented them, if they would just show us how to that would be great. The PRO does all that they claim and it will definitely help you loosen up and get the blood flowing to your sore body areas. The massager is great. Enough has been said about that and it’s all true.It would be nice if the batteries just took a standard USB-C port for charging. The charging dock and excessive cordage seems unnecessary.The storage case needs some attention. The lid of the case could have molded sections for storage of the charger, like there is for the batteries, or a zippered net so charger and all the attachments aren’t loose and don’t fall onto the massager when stored in the case. Also, maybe a Velcro strap or two that secures the massager into its molded nook so it doesn’t fall out if the case is accidentally opened upside down.

My wife also picked up running and has completed multiple races over the last year. The Prime is the perfect balance of power, noise (loud at first but you quickly realize how quiet it is for its power, easily able to have a conversation over it), and design. There is some weight to this model compared to others but it's clearly that way for a reason. I've only went to 2/4 for the pressure and that's as much as we can handle. Ordered a Pro for Father’s Day. Arrived with only 1 working battery. Instead of replacing the battery, instructed to return the entire unit, wait an extra 5 business days to inspect the defective battery, then a replacement unit will ship. Explained to CS rep that unit was purchased to replace a unit that would no longer hold a charge and it is used every day for chronic health conditions by multiple family members, and would be traveling for the next month. Going without is not an option. CS rep said sorry but that’s company policy and no batteries in stock. For the price charged, you would think the batteries are inspected before shipping the unit. Not a great experience!

I've asked JL for help regarding this issue but all they suggest is that I return it to a store to have it checked.This is very frustrating as I bought online as I am unable to get to a store as the nearest is too far away for me to travel to (I'm disabled, which I mentioned but has been ignored).So, I 'm left hoping the battery lasts the two years. As the massagers are used even one year they can put off oily residue that will damage your linens and cloths is you are not extremely careful. Hopefully developers look at their review and honor improvements in their product and customer service.I am glad that I came across this product for muscle recovery and relaxation. This is the 3rd PRO that I have purchased over the last 5 years as I use it daily with my patients (I'm a chiropractor). I was shocked to see that when I opened my newest one it only came with 1 battery. A PRO with 1 battery is a DII collegiate athlete at best. That's what this version should be called. Drop the "PRO" name and pick up "DII". Having only 1 battery screws up my efficiency and flow throughout my day seeing patients. It's brutal! With the older versions (when they sent you 2 batteries) I always had a fully charged battery ready to go when the one I was using died. Stick with the older versions as long as you can-they made modifications to the new battery as well so you can't use your old batteries with this DII version.
