If you’ve used a foam roller in the past, then this will definitely impress you! I have the Theragun too and love the app. Very user friendly . This is such a great way to reduce soreness and release tension, both of which I struggle greatly with. Highly recommend!!

Expensive and Useless

Pretty useless device. And an expensive one at that. It’s essentially a hard, rubber log with an indent. The vibration doesn’t even register to your bones/body, because there’s only so much a small log can vibrate. I saw no benefit to using this and it was a hassle to make it work given its small size. And like other reviews have said it smells really bad, like a synthetic smell. It gets on your clothes and your bed.

Great for your Back!

This is great for your back! It has USB-C charging which speeds up and simplifies the charging, it is the correct spacing and texture to roll well and the charge lasts long enough. The five levels are nice but it would be great to see programs added. Maybe this could be done with a firmware update as it has USB-C. Regardless worth the money.

Just okay

TLDR - this is too firm and vibrates vs massages. We have "the gun" and my wife liked using the roller version of this for her IT-bands and her calves. Using this peanut version disappointed her. I like using a hard roller and lacrosse balls for my back and glutes. This peanut was too firm for my back and not versatile enough (for me) elsewhere. Also, with this device you get more of a vibration with limited massaging effect. I returned it, despite getting a great deal for it.

My new favorite

If you have hard, tight muscles, you need one of these. It replaces any other roller or ball you might have because it is round like a ball, very hard so it breaks up the muscle tissue, vibrates which helps the muscles relax, and it contours around your spine to help straighten your back. And it’s size and long battery life mean you can take it with you wherever you go.

Petite bodies beware

At 5’2” and 100lbs, I am very petite and have sworn by a homemade version of this same idea for years -all you need are two handballs inserted into a sock and tie a tight knot at the end and voila! I thought the wave duo would be an upgrade but it turns out that it’s actually too wide and painfully hard for my petite back and spine. I’m an avid foam roller and have honed in on my back stretching skills because I love working on and maintaining great posture yet I can’t even think about turning on the vibration because I think it will cause harm. I’m sure this product works great for possibly average height and weight persons and onward but I felt left out on this one and it does not hit the mark for me. My home-made version beats this out by a long shot.

Portable and Effective

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband, fully intending to use it for myself, too. I'm so glad I did. It's more cost effective than other Theragun products, and a great value. You can use it like a roller, but it also has the vibration features of other Theragun prodcuts. The wave duo in particular is perfect for massaging your feet and neck (which is where we feel a lot of tension anyway). It's also the perfect size for travel, which was ideal after a long day of flying.

Superb Device

This device is an asset to my Therabody story. Began using the Theragun a while back on recommendation from my pilates teacher. I now use on a regular basis to keep myself supple and thought I would try the Wave Duo another recommendation and am enjoying the versatility and many different angles this can reach and stimulate the blood flow, which for me is very important as I suffer from poor circulation. This really is a perfect addition to my experience.

Only buy this if you're sure you want it because you can't return it if it's been opened. It's not as powerful as I had hoped, even after being fully charged, so I tried to return it after a couple of days and was informed that I could not get a refund if it was opened. I did not see this indicated anywhere on the product page as of today's date, December 2, 2022. In fairness to customers (and their employees who have to deal with complaints) Best Buy should clearly indicate this on the product page. I contacted Therabody however they are only able to provide refunds if it is purchased from their website or on amazon. I would not have purchased it if I had known that. Very disappointed.

Waves of Bliss

All Theragun product are pretty awesome, but this one is my favorite. The shape of the roller and intensity of the pulsation is like the skeleton key to unlock … well, my skeleton. Super relaxing and open up my back and neck like nothing else short of chiropractic care. It was my chiropractor who recommended it too.
