I’ve used this pillow for about 5 nights now. It’s great for aligning my cervical spine & I wake with much less pain. However, I’m primarily a side sleeper, & I have realized that I usually sleep with my arms up by my face. This pillow is so shallow that my head is almost hitting my head board & my arms have nowhere to go. I haven’t figured out how I’ll remedy this. I also haven’t adjusted to sleeping all the way in the top corner of my queen sized bed when I’m on my side. My neck is happy but the rest of me isn’t. The pillow takes up the entire space, & side sleeping is all the way on the very edges of the pillow, so I can’t scoot it over onto my husband’s side when I want to side sleep. I've used the large size for more than 2 years now. I have craniocervical instability, hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos and severe dysautonomia and have to wear a hard cervical collar at night to sleep. The large size pillow allows room for the collar on the side w/o the extension. I have the Original firm and it did take a few weeks to break the foam in, but that's due to a super sensitive occipital region.Lastly, I protect the fitted pillow cover by using King size pillow cases. There's enough material to conform to the pillow contours and the wedge extension. Plus it's much easier to change the pillow case.

While the firmness of the original was fine, the height of the pillow was uncomfortable for side sleeping. I had the same issue as I had read in other reviews that the ridge under the neck was not high enough and the valley for the head propped mine up too high. And another issue I had seen was that the sides for side sleeping aren't where your head normally goes when you sleep on the side, so you need a lot of space on the bed for this to work. I do but it still required being awake in order to adjust your body to go back to sleep on the sides correctly. So I would wake up on my side with my head wonky in the middle, or on the wrong side. I ended up using it with a regular cloth pillowcase over it that could flex even more to the molding, if that makes sense. But that was awkward as well.
I had a serious car accident at 17yrs old and suffered for 30yrs before having c5,6 and 7 fused which helped. 12 years later and multiple concussions the same issues returned but with additional issues. Nothing was helping. I found a good cervical Chiropractor (Revive Upper Cervical) and once they worked on C1 and C2 and got these aligned many issues were reduced but not resolved. They recommended this pillow and once my body adjusted to it (about 3 weeks) 95% of my issues are gone. Finally after 43 years of neck pain and only being able to sleep a couple hours (at best) at a time I am actually able to sleep for hours and frequently the whole night. I pray this pillow is never discontinued!!!
This pillow is a great investment for neck support. It is molded for back and side sleeping. I move around a lot, so I do find myself sliding off of the cervicalsupport area. For that reason only, I think I would be better suited with the way the Tricore ultimate is made. Even so, my neck has not been hurting and I am waking up much easier with this pillow! I really appreciate the well thought designs focused on helping those of us with neck pain. Also, the customer service is top notch!
Comparing this experience to itself is difficult - I'm actually going to compare it to the D-Core Cervical Support Pillow once mine comes in next week.As for the TOSP, it has a lovely form that helps you figure out what size pillow you need. This would be easy if you had help doing it, but tricky otherwise. I ended up getting one too large for my form, and exchanged it for a size L pillow with no problems.In use, the side-sleeping is amazeballs, but the center (face up) sleeping is just slightly off for me. Some adjustment was required before it was super comfy. I am definitely sleeping better having this pillow, yet sometimes I wake up having turned from my side to my back without moving, so my head is tilted up on the edges instead of centered.
I have a pillow graveyard at my house. I have tried all different types of pillows looking for relief. I would wake up with migraines and have a sore neck frequently. This is the pillow I needed. It took some trial and error in finding the right size and firmness, but I have finally found my perfect pillow. I measured for the average size, but after trying that for a month, it just wasn’t quite right. I felt that it was just too hard and too high. I read that if you sleep on a softer bed, you should go down a size. I saw that they have a less firm option, so I ordered the petite size in less firm. It took one week to know that I had found what my body needed for support and comfort. I wish they made a less firm option for the travel pillow as well.
My fist night on this pillow was fantastic. The first few minutes felt like something was pushing on the back of my neck but it later felt more like support or a cradle for it. This pillow keeps your head and neck in the proper position throughout the night. I slept on my back all night nd woke up feeling like I had a good physiotherapy session.I am 6', 200 pounds and wear a 42 Regular suit. I measured myself and ordered an Average. In a word, it'a perfect fit.Normally, I sweat and wake up with a damp pillow. Not this time. No sweat even on a fairly warm night, and the pillow was dry to the touch when I woke up.Best pillow ever. I cannot wait to go to bed again tonight.
