Purchased 2 Lite Seats via Amazon.com.au Good size, light and convenient size. Neither pad self inflates. I'm wary of inflating by mouth as the interiors will mold over time. A bit disappointing considering the brand and cost.

We bought the cushions for on the plane and it was a lifesaver travelling in the bus on long rough roads in Africa and in safari jeeps.The size is perfect,It has no weight and it deflates easily and rolls up the size of a water bottle.It will alway be my travelling companion:)

I bought this last year, though it has been great, just a week ago the glue attached the fabric to the pad detached, so now i have a huge bubble that’s growing bigger and bigger every time I sat on it, front and back.2 of my Thermarest sleeping mat had the same issues in early 2020, which makes me suspect this is a normal occurance for thermarest.I am not sure if it is better to hassle with the very slow warranty (4 weeks long while I need it this month) for $40 and got another product that might do the same thing, or better to just get a much cheaper product in amazon half the price

I have two, one an older model. I love how it compresses for transport on my bike. However it's a bit pricey so unfortunately I might look for a less costly brand next time. I also have a 3/4 length one that I use for extra cushion to sleep in my camp van. Thank you!
Great seat! Very comfortable. Light, though not the smallest packed cushion available. I bring it on day hikes as well as multiday excursions. Easy to inflate. Good size. I've put it through some pretty good use and it held up pretty well, though it did puncture. To be fair, I was sitting/sleeping on it for several hours on the side of a mountain on brush/rocky terrain, so I won't hold that against it and after a quick patch it's good as new. I think it's a great cushion to add a bit of comfort to a hike and is worth the space/weight.
Thought I had left my old Thermarest seat behind at a lunch spot it the mountains----couldn't find it anywhere and have used and loved it for over twenty years. Bought the Lite Seat as a replacement and it works just as well and is lighter. Hope to have it another twenty years! Found the old one hidden behind the water bladder pouch in my pack----now I have one for each pack and don't have to transfer!
Had this about a year now. It's a fantastic product. Don't waste your money on camp chairs that are heavy, awkward and fragile. I use it for camping and hiking, this thing is worth its weight in gold. Surprisingly tough and durable. I wouldn't recommend sitting on thumbtacks, but it will take some serious edges or points to puncture this. For me, it's definitely worth the extra $10 compared to the Z-Seat. Simply wash with soap and water when you can to get the dirt and mud off. It's never going to be as comfortable as a chair with poles and a backrest, but the pros are too hard to ignore. It does soak water a little bit, but not much. If it's an issue for you, use a waterproofing product on it and you'll be good to go.
This is the best cushion I have ever had. I use it when I travel for my back in airplanes it rolls down and fits into my shoulder bag/small back pack. I also in my car to support my back and fill in the seat back so that my head is not pushed forward by the head rest. And lastly I use it on hard logs around the camp fire and canoe seats, paddle boards and even kneeling in the garden for these old knees. I have bought one for each of my kids and they too love them.
I have been using Therm-a-Rest products for decades. Since I am older, I really appreciate the extra comfort (both cushioning and warmth) that the chair cushion provides. I have been using one daily for my desk chair while I telework. It is easy to roll up for travel - in suitcases and backpacks. The only downside for me is that the attached dangling bungee cord (for rolling up the cushion) can get tangled in the chair (or whatever I am sitting on when hiking) when the cushion is unrolled. The bungee loops on the earlier models work better for me (some of the Therm-a-Rest cushions that I still use are 10 years old).
I have been purchasing thermorest light seats for several years and keep them in my pack and take them with me on my day hikes. I never have to worry about having a comfortable, drive place to sit on our Canadian rocky mountain trails . Overtime I have punctured it on a tree trunk with a broken branch where I was sitting, or other sharp objects. This one is better than the original, it is a bit larger and seems to be sturdier and the valve on the end seems to work better to keep the seat inflated.
