I went in pretty heavy with these. Bought 2 of this size, 13 in all including a mix of all sizes.These are awesome. Spread these frozen packs along with frozen 1L water bottles across 2 eskies. After a 4 day (hot) Easter camping trip the eskies were still cold. The ice packs had defrosted and softened, the ice bottles had partially melted but inside the eskies and all the contents were still very cold. Could've got another couple of days out of them for sure. Heaps better than my friends using servo-ice having to restock everyday.But while unpacking I found 2 of the 13 ice packs had torn, leaked goo out everywhere and had to be thrown away. Very disappointing losing 2 and will be expensive to keep replacing if this happens on every outing.

Plastic exterior not strong enough. Used twice, gel oozing from small holes in most bags (bought a selection of sizes). Have taped entire surface of every bag for next trip. Works brilliantly keeping the esky and contents cold - stays colder longer than ice and no water gets into the food!

We have used these ones only once, compaired to a previous brand I think they are a bit over filled for the bag size and do puncture quite easy. I have found from previous experience that putting them in individual zip lock bags tends to protect them . We don't use a car fridge when traveling as this product is great in a good quality esky and keeps everything cold for a couple of days , depending on use of course
I sleep on this every night due to hip and lower back pain. I take it out of the freezer about 30 minutes before I go to bed so it's not too hard. It's quite comfortable to sleep on and cools you down in summer. Now that winter is approaching I may have to switch to heat mode.It also folds up nicely in my freezer, doesn't take up too much space.I'm very glad I got it as the smaller sized ones aren't big enough, whereas this covers the whole pain area.
I brought for a touch footy weekender, was sceptical, before freezing I had diff size reusable bags laying around I put in that, so far so goo. After use give it a wipe and back in freezer for next event…
As others have mentioned, these are quite easily perforated. I only had them a week and being in an Esky with plastic food containers and aluminium drink cans was enough to puncture them, which is disappointing. I wanted to support Australian made when I bought these but unfortunately, I can't recommend them. They are great as far as keeping things cold goes, but the skin needs to be thicker and more durable for use in the Esky.
The stuff inside works well but the plastic will puncture on 1st use if it touches anything hard like a can or ice whilst your chiller is is in transit or if you drop it on anything hard from as little as 20cm high. Dissappointed to have wasted $16 and to suggest to avoid this fragile product that could be so much better. Also, there are no reassurances that the gell that will leak out is 'food-safe'.
These are great stays frozen for ages. Must get some more soon. Thanks Snowys for yet another great shopping experience.
