A killer builder-friendly case (though v. heavy!)

As long as you're careful you'll be fine!- The thumbscrews on for the side panels are screwed a little too tight for my liking, and if you're not careful you can cause damage to the case.- The manual is not clear at all on how to disassemble the case on your first time. A youtube tutorial is a must!Overall, even with the few niggles I have it's an amazing case, a breeze to build in and (as long as you have the space), makes a great addition to any desk setup!

Easy to work in with lots of space. Instructions could be clearer and more detailed with regards to fan setup. Maybe not suited to novice builders given lack of clarity / detailed manual

Heavy and wide, excellent for cable management.
2 June 2020

If you opt to buy the Thermaltake View 51, do take into consideration, the width and fully built weight.Cons:Very heavy straight out of the box and overall width is something to be aware of.Paint flakes away easily around screw fixings.Glass panel on top easily comes away (common fault) from the chassis if you are not careful (poorly designed) especially if you incorrectly remove the top panel.Screws easily cross thread over time so take care when doing them up.Hinged glass side glass panel may sag over time if left open for long periods. Best to apply some grease to the hinges and remove the panel when working inside the chassis.Only has support for 4 storage drives in total (2 x 2.5" with 2 x 3.5" or 4 x 2.5").The various screws on this chassis ... MoreIf you opt to buy the Thermaltake View 51, do take into consideration, the width and fully built weight.Cons:Very heavy straight out of the box and overall width is something to be aware of.Paint flakes away easily around screw fixings.Glass panel on top easily comes away (common fault) from the chassis if you are not careful (poorly designed) especially if you incorrectly remove the top panel.Screws easily cross thread over time so take care when doing them up.Hinged glass side glass panel may sag over time if left open for long periods. Best to apply some grease to the hinges and remove the panel when working inside the chassis.Only has support for 4 storage drives in total (2 x 2.5" with 2 x 3.5" or 4 x 2.5").The various screws on this chassis (like many other cases from Thermaltake) are done up excessively tight so take care when undoing them for the first time. The included fans use proprietary connectors so if you were to add more then you'll need a matching controller or spare motherboard RGB or USB header.Pros:Plenty of options for mounting fans or radiators although rear exhaust is limited to 120mm screw pattern.200mm case fans are fairly quiet whilst providing a reasonable amount of airflow.Top fan or radiator mounting plate can be positioned over motherboard or nearer to glass side panel for good clearance.Plenty of room behind motherboard for cable management including controller boxes.Unboxing, installation and conclusion:This chassis from Thermaltake is a bit pricey but once out of the box it is obvious to see why.Take care when removing the chassis from the box and preferably remove the glass panels before working inside it (Read manual for removal of the panels). The tempered glass panels are very thick of which there are 3. The top glass panel can easily become detached from its frame so be sure to pull the cover straight back and then lift upwards once the two thumbscrews at the back have been removed. Do not tilt the panel upwards without sliding it backwards otherwise the glass will most likely detach!.There is so much space inside this chassis, making for quick and easy builds. You can fill the rear compartment (behind the motherboard) with as many cables as you like, ignoring any cable management. The exterior white paint finish on metal is matte which matches the texture of the plastic areas. The paint is prone to chipping so take care not to overtighten screws or bump the chassis when working inside.GPUs can be vertically mounted and if you choose to do so then rotate the detachable PCI slot backplate before fitting the motherboard. You will also need to purchase a PCIE riser cable as one is not included. Best to use the riser cable from Thermaltake to ensure that the screw mounting pattern matches the bracket in the View 51.Before fitting the PSU be sure to route any cables first otherwise some will be blocked. If you like the look of this chassis, it is a decent offering with some minor issues despite the highish asking price.

Max air flow case!!!
11 January 2023

First PC build with my sons! We threw in the intel i9, an asus prime z790 motherboard, an AIO cooler, 1000w power supply, Nvidia geforce rtx 4080 and 11 fans in the entire build! Still plenty of room leftover and lots of airflow to keep that beast chilled out!

One of the best purchases ive made to date!So much room to build in it actually made building inside the case fun,The air flow is pretty good too,Sheer amount of fans that you can have is impressive too,I highly reccomend getting a 360mm rad or AIO,My 240MM AIO looks tiny in this beast,I will warn people though the case is much bigger than i thought but worth it!

Great case, plenty of room for the 40 series cards. Can mount the cpu cooler in several areas as well. The fans that come with it could be better but they do the job.

Thermaltake View 51 A-RGB
20 June 2020

I bought this case for water cooling and space. The vertical GPU mount is excellent, the space for radiators is more than adequate and easy to install, the ARGB is already connected up ad had no problems with it. The spaces to run cables is great, lots of options, no modding required. The only problems I had with this case is the cable management at the rear and lack of air filters at the top and front. Perhaps white mesh or clear polycarb, with the TT logo making up ventilation (magnetic filters should be included).

Very Nice Case
12 February 2022

This case is a dream to build in. There's loads of room for most components, although the height of some cpu air coolers may interfere with the closing of the door.I would also recommend that you completely remove the tempered glass door while you do your build, as it's fairly heavy and I've heard that you run the risk of the door not closing flush if you leave it in place, open, for a lengthy period of time. I didn't experience that myself, because I took it off, but it's just something to be mindful of. I like that there are plenty of ports on the front and there's also a button that allows you to cycle through the fan's rgb settings to find the mode you like, or completely turn the rgb off if you prefer. There's plenty of room for upgrades later on, and the cable management is nice too.The magnetic dust filters are easy to remove and clean when needed. This case also allows you to have your graphics card in 2 different orientations in case you want to show it off. The slot covers on the backside rotate to give you a sleek, finished look in either orientation you choose. There's plenty of options for liquid cooling as well, I just went for air cooled, cause that's what I have on hand.

this thing is HUGE
8 March 2022

Did I mention this thing is massive? Seriously, it makes a full ATX board look like an ITX in a mid tower. I've read that some taller CPU coolers won't fit, but let's be honest. If you buy a case that's setup for water-cooling as well as this one is, you aren't trying to air cool anything.
