What the heck did I do before purchasing this thermos, seriously, it was the best investment I have ever made. I drink lots of water during the night but love cold water and this has driven me nuts over the years as it meant getting out of bed to fill up my glass with cold water which 9 times out of ten meant I didn’t get back to sleep. Now I have my trusty thermos next to my bed with cold water that keeps cold well into the next morning and even better, I don’t have to worry about water rings on my table as it doesn’t sweat. You can safely drink straight out of the thermos without over spilling or only receiving a dribble, the mouthpiece is perfect. I really recommend this product highly, you can’t go wrong.

I've had one for three years and I am a big coffee drinker. It has kept it warm for 24 Hours and more. The seals are wearing out but again, it get A LOT of use. Thermos is still a great brand and I am now purchasing my second mug. If you take care of it it will last. I've beat mine up and could have probably made it last many more years. Happy hot coffee!

Close, but no cigar. I thought it was just what I was looking for. I ended up liking the flip top feature too, but that is not good for pouring...so messy. I cannot trust it in my bag either without leaking. I had to buy a Stanley instead.

The thermos retains heat very effectively, yet remains cool to handle. The lid is easy to use. The notes accompanying the product suggest that the thermos be kept vertical, because it can leak if on its side. So far, I have found that the seal does prevent liquid from seeping out, but perhaps the manufacturer is indicating that it can leak over time. That it has this potential seems a distinct weakness. As well, the thermos comes without a cup, instead relying on being used to drink direct from the thermos, or by pouring in a cup provided by the user. Was this thermos tested 'in the field' before being distributed for use by the public at large?
This flask is amazingly versatile. It keeps drinks cold in summer and it can be used for hot drinks as well. Parts that require cleaning can be removed and cleaned so very hygienic. Recommend to anyone who is wanting a flask for a long period of time that remains hygienic.
We use this for our formula when leaving the house, we put the right temperature water in, even 5 hours later it’s still the same. It’s the perfect size to never be caught out without enough and perfect fit to any bottle holder. Couldn’t imagine going anywhere without it.
So impressed! It keeps my mug of hot chocolate or tea hot for hours! Made a tea today at 9am, finshed it at 5pm! No more cooled or luke-warm drinks when I'm at work and get interrupted! Fantastic easy-to-use button release lid means it's no problem to sip a drink one handed and reseal to keep your sipping surface hidden.
I've been looking for a couple of years for the perfect drink container when I am doing yard work. I have over two acres and use a JD 1025R to mow with. This does really fit in the drink holder, BUT, it does sit in a pocket on the fender and it's not going to go anywhere. I pop the top and have me a CLEAN, COLD drink whenever I need one. Does not leak or sweat. Got the silver one so it will standout in the yard if dropped by accident I have not tried a longevity test for cold or hot beverages, I don't need it for that. But I can tell you, I'll fill it with a cold sports drink of my choosing and then put some ice in it. I'll be in the yard for hours on end and the ice looks as fresh as it did when I put it into there and have zero watered down drink. Only negative ... MoreI've been looking for a couple of years for the perfect drink container when I am doing yard work. I have over two acres and use a JD 1025R to mow with. Only negative that I can think of, is cleaning the top with the rubber gaskets and taking it off and on. The rubber grips the container and I feel one day it will rip, who knows, the price is right.......so. I approve this container for future buys from myself....LOL
This is a three year review. I bought this Thermos in 2013. I have never used it for cold drinks. Only hot. I make coffee blended with butter, MCT oil, and an assortment of powders. This is primarily the drink I keep in it. Other than that, hot coffee. I wash by hand with a dish soap and vinegar mix, no problem with paint. However, for about six months I used a dishwashing machine with a cheap packet detergent that caused the paint on the bottle to peel. It would come off on my hand as I used it, in little flecks. The product use instructions say not to use cleaner with bleach in it. I think this was my problem. I used a clorox or bleach type dishwasher soap, and when I did the paint was peeling. The bottle still keeps drinks hot and insulates just as well as the ... MoreThis is a three year review. I bought this Thermos in 2013. I have never used it for cold drinks. Only hot. The product use instructions say not to use cleaner with bleach in it. I think this was my problem. I used a clorox or bleach type dishwasher soap, and when I did the paint was peeling. The bottle still keeps drinks hot and insulates just as well as the first day I bought it. I sometimes make coffee, pour into bottle and seal, and find it piping hot four hours later. Damages: The metal part of the body has two deformations. First on the rim. You can see from the photo that it is flattened a bit where I dropped it once while cleaning. The lid still screws on fine and does not leak since the rubber gasket fits lower in the mouth. Second on the outer, upper edge near the front. Not sure when that happened, see below. The rubber parts are still in tact and functional. The top sealant piece has absolutely no problems. The small, spring-action hinge comes out from its hook every once in a while. I would estimate about once every two months. It's a simple fix. I place a fingertip on either side of the loose part of the ring, and press into the edge of the cap where the rectilinear hook is located. The ring fits back into place and stays. The cap, with it's one-hand flip function, still works perfectly. Maybe a fraction of a second slower than brand new. The simple, occasional fix is well worth the longevity of this bottle. Even without the rubber ring secured, I can still open and close fine if it happens in the car and I can't use both hands to fix it in the moment. The brand logo has completely worn off. This happened within the last year, and I'm not sure why. Looks kinda cool. General usage: For two and a half years, I took this to work daily on my commutes. Fits into my Civic cup holder, it's quite tall but great for easy grabbing. After I quit, I took it with me on a backpacking trip through southeast Asia for three months. I kept it in the top or side of my 48L Osprey pack, both on ground and in flights. I checked my bag in every time, using an airport transporter bag also by Osprey. The damage to the body may have come from these episodes, but I doubt it. Specific usage: I first used the Thermos in the car while driving. I would pop the lid with one hand and drink while steering with the other. It is pretty heavy, maybe three pounds when full, so I didn't drink on turns or in complicated traffic. Drink responsibly, right? About two years later, I used it primarily in the office and at home with a mug on the side. So I unscrewed the cap, poured into a mug, and drank from the mug. Meaning I haven't used the cap for the full three years, just so you know. Size: It's a great size for the amount it holds. Fully three cups of coffee. Magnificent. Handling: It can be quite thick and heavy for a one-handed grip. More like holding a football than a cup. Again, I would guess it weighs about three pounds when full. Get used to the balance, though, and even the daintiest user can be ready to rock and roll. Style: It's a sleek, black cylinder. Batman could be carrying this around Gotham without missing a beat. I can't complain. The only thing I would caution about is in airports and high tension places, like Los Angeles freeways, and especially when you travel overseas. It can look like a weapon, no joke. Be careful when you bust it out to suddenly take a swig, that you aren't doing it in front of an officer or in a threatening way. I can see how this could lead to alarm. However, I have not had any real issues. Just one funny look from a driver in Los Angeles one time when I lifted it up for a drink. If you are looking for a lighter alternative, I would suggest the Zojirushi 12 oz. bottle. I also traveled with that, for my wife. Lighter, much easier to hold, just as functional and durable. Keep an eye out for that review. This review is also on my blog: thebrilliantbeastblog.com Thanks for reading and leave a comment if you want to add or refute. I'll respond if I need to.
This thing is huge. No way it's going to fit in your cup holder unless you drive a boat. The exterior feels weak; thankfully it hasn't dented yet, but I can't imagine it'll be long before it does. I'm not going to care either way, and I can't imagine it's going to affect performance much, if at all. It's not totally leak proof, but it's pretty good about leaks. If the seals are seated correctly and the lid is screwed on tight, it won't leak, but if not, you might get a few drops to spill out. I use this for cold brew coffee, and I shake the thing like crazy after I fill it; the worst that's ever happened was a few drops spilling out by the hinge on the lid. Overall, it's good. I think it'd be great at keeping things warm, because my coffee stays cold damn near ... MoreThis thing is huge. No way it's going to fit in your cup holder unless you drive a boat. I think it'd be great at keeping things warm, because my coffee stays cold damn near forever. I've seen reviews about trouble with the seals, but I haven't had any issues so far. My only fear is that the thing is REALLY HEAVY when full, and if I dropped it on concrete against the lid, I bet that plastic would crack. Otherwise, I think you could beat the hell out of it without much worry of any real issues. Edit: After 6 months of usage, this thing is already using its utility. It's starting to leak a LOT more that it used to, always from the back of the cap by the hinge. No idea why. My seals look and seat perfectly. I wear white too often to be leaking coffee every time I gently shake my mug. The lid is also way harder to clean than you might expect. You can remove the seals and clean in there just fine, but there's seams and crannies deep in the cap that you might not even notice for awhile. Very difficult to get at. Reduced to 2 stars from 3.
