To be really effective and beneficial you need at least 10,000 IU a day.Unless a person spends some time outside under a sun every day. This is extremely unlikely for most people, except gardeners, construction workers, etc. And of course where sunshine is every day more or less.So 10,000 IU is really a minimum you can have. And Thorne's D3 is superior, like all their supplements. Don't try to count drops. If you get more drops it's even better. If you prefer you can use a stainless spoon, but not plastic one. I'd prefer if Thorne could make it 1 drop containing at least 2000 IU. Otherwise it's excellent and easy to use.

Good size, enough for a long time, even for a few years because you don't need to take it on a daily basis, only when feeling unwell. The dosage is indicated on a bottle. The bottle itself is glass, not plastic. You may take it on a daily basis (2 drops) or once a week 2x7. Good when you live in a country with sun deficiency. Has no taste, so easy to give to children. The package is really enough for a very long time. Take it together with vit C + Zinc for better effect when you caught cold.

It's also at a slow enough pace that you have lots of control and can easily turn it over without any contents spilling over the edge. This is imp't as a daily dose is just 2 little flavorless drops.Another tip from another reviewer, because a day's supply is the aforementioned 2 little drops, I dispense the two drops onto something - an orange, a blueberry, really it could be anything (your chicken mcnuggets).Really, really pleased w/the effect of this vitamin - which at least for my nails - 100% works and wow, works FAST. Also impressed w/IHerb as well - product was well priced, they had a nice little promotion and it was shipped relatively quickly. I highly recommend taking vitamin D3 always together with K2, as this is the only way to ensure that the vitamin will not be deposited in the wrong places in the body. If you have absolutely no concerns about your gut health, then you may be able to take vitamin D alone. However, I strongly recommend taking it with K2 to be on the safe side.
