An Burrito-Laden Card-Fightin' Fast-Paced Blast!

I'm going to get the one complaint I had out of the way... because the rest is five stars all the way. The cards, while made really well, which is good because they will get abused overtime, are larger and hard to shuffle, hold, and shift around on the table. But, short of the initial shuffling, which you get used to, the rest is part of the fun.Speaking of fun... now for the fun stuff (and believe me, there's tons o' fun here). The game is more or less a really fast-paced card game with dodge ball (or, um, dodge burrito) thrown in. There's a number of ways to play too. My sons and I played the game outside. And, (trust me) you really need to play this outside. My oldest is 6 ft tall. The air-filled burrito is about 3/4 his size. You're supposed to keep the burritos close to the playing table for a grab and throw approach. We didn't feel like carting a table to the middle of the yard. So, we put the burritos in the yard and made the burrito fights more of a mad dash to see who can get them first, then... game on. Don't let the instructions scare you. The game is sooo simple. You'll easily get it during or after the first hand. After you do, the game just gets faster and faster, which is awesome. And, it gets even more competitive. FWIW, you can play throw throw burrito in groups of 2 to 6 with one kit. Buy two kits and have even more fun with up to 12 people. We got two kits. While we only opened the one for my sons and me, I can't wait to get all four burritos in a burrito battle royale to win the coveted Fear Me badge. My sons and I loved it. We were sweating buckets by the time were we done (it was hot and humid outside)... but it was so worth it. While it's fun just playing with the fam, this will definitely be a hit (yeah, pun intended) at any party... for kids and/or adults. Guys and gals, try not to pummel the little ones too hard. ;)So, worth the purchase? Absolutely. I don't hand out five stars easily; but, this game has it all. If you love competitive fast-paced card games, running around and battling with gigantic burritos, all in the name of fun (and winning bragging rights ;) ), this game's definitely for you. As for me, I'm now looking into other Exploding Kittens games.

The rules of the game are gloriously laid out and explains everything. The burritos were easy to inflate..I used a pump I have to blow up balloons but it didnt come with it. The concept of the game is fun, reminds me a little of dodge ball and crazy 8s mixed. It is an easy game to understand and gets competitive fast but in a fun healthy way. The cards are huge and also durable. So are the burritos, so its a good combination of quality and craftsmanship that makes this able to be an outside game. Or inside because we played it inside too. My kids ask to play this daily. Its an all around fun and exciting ... MoreThis is a really fun family game. Both my kids aged 6 and 12 were able to participate and enjoy the game. What great Christmas fun! Thankfully it was a warm Christmas here in New York! A bit misty but warm. The kids were restless so we sent them outside to play with these giant burritos. The burritos were a bit of a pain to fill as the fill tab needed to stay pinched so it was a bit tricky using the electric pump. We all joined in on the battle of the burritos but were super disappointed that they aren't very sturdy and it didn't take long before one popped. They really need to perfect that as there is no place to just buy the burrito inflatable. Overall, we had a fun time with these burritos and we managed to repair the one burrito. I am sure we will be playing with these again and again.

Great Game, Dead Burrito
25 March 2023

We have both the indoor and outdoor editions from the original Kickstarter and it's a fantastic game. Unfortunately the giant inflatable burrito ripped right along the seam as we started playing the third time. Since it's on the seam the patch doesn't work and I was told by customer service I can't buy just the inflatable burritos. It's unfortunate since my son loved it, but it's not worth buying the entire game again and throwing all the other stuff out. Stick with the indoor version, those burritos hold up and you can buy spares.

Hilarious fast paced game - spoons on steroids
4 December 2020

This game is hilarious, thinks spoons on steroids. You have "normal cards" and then you have 4 kinds of Burrito Cards. Collecting 3 of normal cards gives you one point at the end of the round, collecting 3 of a kind of Burrito cards gives you two points. If you get 3 of a kind of a Burrito Card (Brawl, Duel or War) you declare it immediately and the throwing burrito's ensues. If I declare Burrito Brawl, the person to the left and right of me try and hit each other, the first to hit the other wins the brawl. If I declare Burrito Duel the players to the left and right of me standoff like a traditional duel throwing the burrito's and the person getting hit first loses. I intend to buy several more sets for Christmas.

Outdoor edition holds up!
23 August 2022

I bought my family the normal throw throw burrito and we loved it. For a recent family event I decided to purchase Throw Throw Burrito: Extreme Outdoor Edition because we were outdoors at a campsite. We really put this game through its paces. We played by the pool and with adults and kids. First off, it is a game that everyone loved. The youngest player was 6 the oldest was 35. Lots of laughs and gleeful screaming. Second, the cards and the game pieces held up in our extreme outdoor environment (aka by the pool). Last, the giant burritos are so awesome and hilarious we loved just having them around for photo ops. The only bummer part is that.... well I destroyed the burrito when my brother and I got into a burrito duel (which I won). I have no regrets! So fun!
21 September 2021

This is a great game. Like spoons. The blow up burritos are awesome. I'd recommend having some sort of pump to blow them up. Blowing up the burritos by mouth would take a while. We rough housed with one of the burritos by a car and it popped. But used the patch on the hole and it was good as new. Game play is simple. One thing we improvised on was making big stacks for each player instead of keeping it in the middle to make it more fair. Since every player is collecting the burrito duals card, they won't be passed around, and then the same cards are passed around. And it wouldn't be fair to the last player if the only cards they got were from the previous player. Overall, a fun game to play outdoors, lots of running involved!

So fun!
17 June 2021

Just get it! Throw Throw Burrito Extreme Outdoor Edition is just what my family needed this summer for some outdoor fun. All my kids from 8 to teens love this game. It does get competitive for the older ones! It is fast paced because everyone is playing at the same time. The inflatable burritos are large so it is easy to hit your target but it's also easy for them to catch your thrown burrito. So far we haven't needed the included repair patch for the inflatables. They appear pretty durable for as rough as the game gets at times. My only complaint would be the very large cards size makes it very difficult for my small hands to shuffle. This game is a keeper in my house. Exploding Kittens does it again! This game is very much worth it though!

So much fun
4 January 2023

We have played the original game and had to add this one to our collection. The rules of the game are so simple yet so much fun to play. My kids went wild with the size of the burritos. The laughs were non stop during play. One thing is that the burritos deflated a little bit after a round, we get too pumped up to be gentle with the burritos. Other than that this game is amazing, such a great way to bond and create memories with your kids. Easy setup, quick play, and we all get a little bit of excercise in.

The silliest game I have ever played!
29 June 2021

Throw Throw Burrito Extreme Outdoor Edition is the craziest game I have ever played. We have yet to finish a game, because whenever we throw burritos at each other we start laughing so hard, it hurts and have to stop. Which is a good thing, after living through 2020, I'm happy we can still laugh that hard. This game is a kind of the card game war meets dodgeball. This is definitely an outdoor game, as you need plenty of room. Great for taking to the campground. The blow-up burritos are huge! My advice, use a pump to blow them up. I don't have one on hand and it took me several days to blow them up. I am leaving one burrito blown up, he sits on a chair in the living room, keeping me company. He's cute.
