I've never bought an Xbox Accessory that doesn't work on PC. Absolutely pitiful. Even if it did work on PC it has absolutely MASSIVE drift on the steering wheel sending your in game turning left and right and every single direction EXCEPT the one you want to go forward. Tested on Xbox.DO NOT BUY IF YOU WANT TO USE ON PC, IT DOESN'T WORK! Unless you're REALLY balling on a budget and for some reason NEED a steering wheel for a mediocre driving game on Xbox, DON'T BUY THIS!

This wheel really brings a lot of fun to the living room. It's not quite like driving - Unless you've got a chair that can toss you around to feel the momentum of a tight turn, you're never going to have that. But it's much more realistic than a standard controller, and a lot more fun, too.The wheel itself is quite well-made, with a quality PU cover, metal paddle shifters, and a strong built-in clamp to attach it to your coffee table. I'm not sure how far racing steering wheels turn, but it doesn't have the range of motion of a standard car steering wheel (which typically rotate all the way around more than once). Thus, small adjustments yield much more dramatic steering than your typical car. The pedals feel great too. The appearance is meticulous, with buttons hidden nicely in the form of things you might find on an actual car. That's a really nice touch once you know what's what. That said, it's far from perfect. The most obnoxious trait is that the cord isn't very long, so you'll have to sit fairly close to the TV or get an extender. Ideally, this would be wireless. And while the clamp is nice, the wheel needs some sort of height adjustment, because the coffee table is just too short to serve as a proper dashboard. I pulled up my ottoman as a driver's seat and made it work, but I definitely didn't feel like I was sitting in a sporty low-riding race car. The pedals also move a bit on my tile floor - keeping the area dust-free helps, but these would really benefit from a larger gripping surface or a suction cup or something. Last thing your need during a race is to lose track of your pedals.Despite these points of potential improvement, it's still REALLY fun. There's an hilarious learning curve at first (my wife laughed so hard she cried during my first crack at it), and once you've got the hang of it, it really is much more immersive than a standard controller. My nephews love it too, with the 7-year-old so impressed he just walks around the house making driving motions when it's not his turn. He spent about 2 hours playing non-stop while I watched a baseball game, and by the end of it, he was driving better than his mother does in real life (though admittedly, that's a low bar).Given what it brings to the game experience and the quality of the materials, I've already recommended it to friends, and think it's worthy of a high rating. If you think you'll enjoy it, you will. If a serious competitive gamer, I'm not serious enough to steer you right on this. However, do keep in mind that it takes up a good bit of space, so make sure you've got a place to keep it if you're going to buy it.

My daughter loves playing her Xbox, but this Ferrari racing wheel makes it so much more entertaining and gives racing games a real life feel. When playing and using this wheel as well as the gas pedals it feels as though you are really racing down tracks and it is so much easier to keep your car going in the direction you want to go while getting that real life racing feel of pressing the gas and steering the car. Dont look at the negative reviews. Misinformed.

So i just bought this and read a few reviews. Lets make a few things clear:The reviews say the pedals don't plug into the xbox one s....that would be a true statement because they plug directly into the wheel. I think someone misunderstood/ didn't read directions.Next low review says there is no d-pad....that is false as the engine start button is a d pad disguised as a fun push to start button.Another review mentions 90 degree steering range....I am not sure what your mounting situation is but mine easily turns almost entirely over.As for activity, sensitivity, or realism... it is obviously not a real car. I would say buy a $300+ model if you are serious about racing simulators...to just play a game this is just fine. Also forza and wrc 5,6,7,8 and DiRT ... MoreSo i just bought this and read a few reviews. They also allow for minor correction to alignment...at least wrc 8 for sure.Long story short i believe some of these negative reviews are from people who are quick to be negative and quick to throw the instructions away. Im not saying this is the best one on the market. But for me to have fun playing my driving games with this....it had to be decent... right? I strongly believe if you go to your local walmart and show them the sku and they get it off a shelf you are gonna be just fine. And read the directions before posting negative reviews...that usually helps other buyers make sound and informed decisions based on the truth, instead of based on your mistakes. Just an opinion :)

Gives a whole new feeling to racing games
6 October 2020

This review has come from my boys: older kids and younger kids. They first noticed there wasn't a shift stick (which was a disappointment to the older kids). You shift gears behind the steering wheel. They liked the feel of the pedals- they are not loose and it feels more real than they expected. My bigger kids said there was a learning curve when using the steering wheel and the pedals as compared to actually using the hand-held controllers, but they enjoyed playing together and did so until well past midnight (which they had not done in years!). The younger kids who had never played the racing games with hand-held controllers caught on really fast!We made the whole set-up work by attaching the steering wheel to a TV tray. It wouldn't attach to our coffee table well. The main negative thing about this is that the cord is too short. It's only five feet long. Our TV is mounted to the wall over the fireplace so they had to sit right under the TV, close enough so the cord didn't pull too tight. If there was a longer cord, this would be five stars.Other than the short cord, it's a solid four stars.

Great Racing Wheel!
6 October 2020

Ordered the Thrustmaster Ferrari 458 Spider Racing Wheel for my Xbox One because I like to play racing games. I've always used a controller and wanted a racing wheel... this one caught my eye. The racing wheel has a great feel with the rubber grips and is built fairly nice. The wheel looks really sporty, too. The aluminum paddle shifters are very nice and should add durability. The gas and brake pedals also seem to be durable. The racing wheel mounted to my desk easily and the wires were plenty long enough to reach my Xbox One. I tried the Thrustmaster Ferrari 458 Spider Racing Wheel with Xbox One game WRC8 and the wheel felt very responsive. It took a few races but I got the hang of it quickly. You have to always have a foot on the platform to hold it down or it will tilt forward. I plan to mod the gas and brake pedal platform so I wont have to worry about forward tilt. Overall, the Thrustmaster Ferrari 458 Spider Racing Wheel is a great racing wheel and well worth the purchase if you like racing games.

The steering wheel
26 December 2023

I’m not very happy about the package. My son went to open it was super excited getting it out and it was missing the peddles to push the gas that’s supposed to be in the box. It looked like someone had already opened this box and returned it and they didn’t check it. I believe when someone orders something they should definitely check the box make sure it looks like it came directly from the warehouse and not had been opened. It upset my son really bad on Christmas Day and now I have to make another trip and pray that they have the steering wheel and pedal in stock. You guys need to do better

Total Control Racing

Our Xbox One is in our living room, so attaching it to a table is really not an option. That is one thing I do not like about this because it should be made to easily use it on your lap. So, we took it over to my nephew's house and mounted it there. Mounting it to the table was easy and it does give it a good feel. The steering wheel is great and takes a little while to get used to on how to take corners and drive straight, but overall you will feel in control. My kids and nephew like the rubberized grips on the wheel along with the control layout. Although it is stiff in terms of turning since its full radius is 240 degrees making it sensitive, it does seem like you can fine tune it in games. Pedals used for accelerating, reverse and braking are easy to use. The pedals are nice and good quality although the grips on the bottom aren’t strong enough to keep it from slipping on the hardwood floor from pressing on it. We then placed it on an area rug it was fine and did not slip.Navigating the menu when using the steering wheel is okay and the d-pad on it to get through the menu screens as it is not great. The steering wheel and pedals use wires to connect to the Xbox console. That is fine as they do not really get in the way, but since we have it in our living room, the cord is not long enough to connect, so I use a usb cord extender and it works out fine. One last thing that is missing is either a game or a demo game. If you buy the controller then you also need to buy a game. Even a demo game would have been nice, but not a big deal.Overall, I like using the steering wheel when playing and racing car games. My kids have fun too which really helps with all the craziness in the world. Enjoy.

Wheel is mostly great, pedal needs improvement
13 October 2020

The pedal is way too light. It needs spikes like on a kick drum pedal, or some weight added, or both! It seems like the idea of it is to keep your heel planted and pivot between the pedals. That would be wonderful, but doesnt work with this model. There is too much force needed to compress the pedals to keep your heel planted, and when you place your foot on top of the pedal for leverage, the back of the pedal lifts up. As you can imagine this is an issue, and makes it particularly irritating to switch between gas and brake. The sensitivity of the pedal is nice, you just cant make use of it because of the lifting issue. Another solution might be a little less resistance on the pedal itself, however, I think that would just mess with otherwise great sensitivity. Now ... MoreThe pedal is way too light. Miles above the pedal. The sensitivity is excellent. We tested it out on a few times and it's pretty realistic. The paddle shifters are really nice, smooth and responsive. The button layout is great, and makes sense. The only complaint i have is to make the D-pad more apparent, maybe with light paint or something. Would be great if the wheel was a little larger, and had the ability to tilt like a real wheel. As far as set up, it wasn't too bad. Figuring out how to connect the pedal to the wheel, and everything to the X-box was a breeze. Our television sits on a low table and we couldnt clamp the wheel to that. My husband came up with the idea to use a TV tray to clamp the wheel to. Then he ratchet strapped the TV tray to the table the television was on to fortify it even further. I mean it worked, but it was ridiculous. We decided to take over his studio desk, temporarily, and that is the BEST setup.Over all for the price point I'm satisfied. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.
