Quality is nice although it would provide better strength if it were made out of aluminium. It’s very comfortable but my biggest issue is when applying the wheel the D-pad becomes unusable.

Ferrari F1 Add On

Perfect perfect perfect. Not only have my lap times and race craft improved overall but my wife thinks I’m an even bigger nerd than I was before! All buttons are mappable to whatever your racing needs may be, the centre dial doesn’t rotate and the dials are there for show but the overall build quality and weight of this rim is fantastic. (Full set up for reference. I’m running a Thrustmaster 7 gear H-pattern shifter with GT Pedals and a Thrustmaster TX wheelbase)

Great wheel, but lacks polish

This wheel is a very immersive add-on if you're into F1 or LMP racing games. All of the useable buttons have good feel and feedback, and are easily customizable via the Thrustmaster software. It lacks some finish though... the sticker labels for the functional buttons are fairly cheap. The F1-style rotary dials around the center bezel are all fake (as I'm sure you're probably already aware), but they look very cheap in person. The low point is the grip material... it's very sticky and cheap feeling. I'll likely cut it off and put a decent suede or leather steering wheel wrap on it myself. Overall, the wheel is functionally outstanding and worth the money in spades, but there are some cheap points that might bother some users. Love this rim!

Absolutely love this rim for playing F1 games. Build is solid, grips are good, and it has a nice weight and feel to it. Has a good assortment of buttons and they are laid out well. The rotary knobs are fantastic for on the fly adjustments in-game. I wish you could tweak the assignments a bit more, but that's what has more to do with the xbox's integration than the rim itself. One disappointing aspect, the cool looking knobs and switches in the middle of the wheel are purely for show and do not operate. Regardless, the wheel is boss and I would totally buy it again.

Puts you in the driving seat.

If you play on a CONSOLE then this is perfectly capable as console driving games are not that realistic , if you are a serious SIM racer then you may think its a bit too much like a toy; but it is a 1000 times better than using a hand controller. If you drive your car sitting on the top of the cowling near the air scoop or on the bonnet or roof as if your the goon out of that terrible last Mad Max film then save your money and play Mario Karts as this wheel would be wasted on you. A car is driven from the driving seat, If you cannot manage it from this position then a wheel would be a waste of money.

Really awesome F1 wheel!

This is a great wheel. The price is really good compared to other stores and it came before the estimated time for delivery. The wheel has heaps of cool buttons you can program and is really enjoyable to use as it has been built really well with good materials. It looks and feels like the real 2011 wheel. The shifters feel and look good and are satisfying to click. This wheel is a must have for someone who owns any Thrustmaster servo base that plays f1 games. You will get a totally different experience using this wheel compared to a gt styled wheel for f1 games.

Review of THRUSTMASTER Ferrari F1 Wheel Add On

Good Points: Really adds to the experience of playing F1 2022 (or any other open wheel racing game). Lots of buttons and dials and everything is customisable within games.Improvement Points: The buttons do spin around, and I suspect the rocker switches could be damaged fairly easily. Obviously it lacks the in-built display that the more expensive Thrustmaster F1 wheel rim has.

Well built but puzzling

The Thrustmaster Ferrari F1 Wheel Add-On is a well built wheel. It is solid with no flex, the grips are rubber not plastic and feel comfortable, the switches at the bottom are two-way, the buttons are solid feeling and the click is deep in the bottom of the stroke, and the whole thing is extremely light meaning better force feedback response.The con's for me are that the paddle shifter is a solid bar, and all six of the dials on the face are non-functional decoration. I'd really like to see Thrustmaster turn these into separate paddles and functional dials accordingly.Overall a good wheel that could be great with two tweaks.
