I bought this device to replace an aging CH Pro Throttle. The CH Pro was clamped firmly to my desk. I worried about securing the new throttle. Could I screw it down perhaps? All that was solved the moment the TM Warthog was unpacked. The TM is VERY heavy, sits solidly on non-slip pads, and hasn't move a millimetre since I placed it there. The throttle has a plethora of buttons and switches, plus a Trim lever. The throttle levers themselves are super-smooth in action, and are extremely precise. This is truly a "Rolls Royce" of Throttles!

If you want a split throttle unit then there's not many to choose from. I tried the X56 and while its spec is great, the quality is rather lacking. Sent it back and got a Warthog, double the money but solid feeling and works well, although the switch selection is a little eclectic. I would have liked an analogue slider somewhere on the lever but overall I'm happy.

This is a heavy duty overbuilt product for professional sim flight. The amount of detail is impressive as is the tactile feel of each button and switch. It feels more immersive just having it lit up let alone when using it. I fly xplane, MSFS, as well as space sims and this handles mapping and profiles with ease. Totally recommended.

Purchased this throttle as a stand in for my simpit while convert my Cougar throttle to a full size F-16 replica. It works well with sufficient switches to bind for various tasks but the slew sensor is difficult to use. I will retask this to an A-10 lite pit after my F-16 throttle is finished for my higher fidelity 1:1 viper pit. In the meantime, this works very smoothly with no apparent glitches. So many functions available to bind. Very pleased with this product.

As others have said, the construction of the thrust quadrant of the HOTAS is second to none. There is a reason you pay more for this. Button assignment is straight forward and of course enhances the flight experience. I paired this with an existing joystick but will purchase the Thrustmaster Warthog joystick now, I am that impressed.
I decided to retire my first warthog throttle after having to replace the main circuit board and noticing how much wear the internals have suffered over the years of daily use.The original still operates well, but it is getting pretty loose in its advance age. These units are built like a bag of hammers, robust and tough.I do really appreciate the upgrade to the slew control over the old design.
I am jumping in with both feet to play DCS. Looking at many options for throttles, I chose the Thrustmaster Warthog. Boy did I make the right choice. Heavy, solid construction with lots of options for switches. You won't regret it!!!
Use the HOTAS for the AH-64, F/A-18, A-10 & Huey.* The throttles a switches perform for the jets* For the Apache & Huey it serves as throttle & collective.* DCS detected and mapped the switches without problem.
Pros: T.A.R.G.E.T. GUI advanced programing software.. It takes time to learn but worth the effortCons: More buttons on the actual throttles if possible..more graphics to illustrate how to use the T.A.R.G.E.T. button mapping to it's max potential especially the script editor.
