With the Thustmaster TX-XW Servo Base, you can renew your racing experience, and it's like you're really in a race car. The brushless motor in the frame makes sure you have the right amount of force feedback, so effects feel realistic. Are you in a heated race? No problem, because the built-in cooling system prevents overheating and a noise racing wheel. This way, you can focus on the race. This frame is compatible with different accessories from the Thrustmaster ecosystem, so you can easily exchange the steering wheel for a gearbox or hand brake, for example.

Even though I was upgrading from a T300RS I found the extra power makes the TS-XW a decent choice . Definitely more tactile feedback and response , benefits from external power supply although I have to say never had any issues with my Trusty T300RS which at the price point of purchase is probably the best wheel you can get. In the box sale my TS-XW was cheaper than my T300RS as I purchased just the base no wheel rim. I was looking to break into Direct Drive and considered the T818 or the Moza R5 package . The T818 ticked boxes being Backward compatible with current rims ( nice touch thrustmaster) the Moza R5 being slightly cheaper and only came as a bundle with pedals meant I had a set of pedals doing nothing as I have a good load cell set . I watched loads of YouTube video , many advising DD as the TS-XW wasn't a worthwhile upgrade from what I had , and at around £480 ish with a rim I would agree but as the base itself is down to £299 and I was already committed to the thrustmaster eco system it seemed the sensible way to go. Glad I did , plenty of power , much improved feel and even lifting it out of the box you could instantly tell there was more to this base . The power pack alone weighs nearly as much as a T300RS. It looks great too and while this is no real reason to get one its nice to have a pleasing base Infront of you . I'm not a Fanatec fan , I feel they are more about profit than customers so they are ruled out of my choices , back in the day the Porsche wheel bases and CSR elite were the best but I feel they have lost their way in recent years relying on early success to carry their product . While thrustmaster may not have the same impact in the snobbery stakes I definitely rate the TS-XW up their with the best. It's well built , feels a quality product and I am definitely impressed with it's functionality. At the price I paid new in my opinion there is nothing out there offering better value for performance other than the Moza R5 bundle which allows you do dive straight into the Direct Drive Market as a newcomer to the sim racing community

Pros: From a tx it’s a vast improvement. Can compete with direct drive wheels.Cons: Less plastic.

Pros: Hard to say due to the fact it’s unrecognisable with a wheel attached to it.It’s a nice colour though good shape which does help with storing away as I have a GTlite seat.Cons: As i run the SF1000 wheel, I play with a headset on because the shifting is so loud what I didn’t realise is how loud the fan inside the servo is. I believe it’s only going when in heavy use but when I finish and take off the muffs I’m always abit surprised. If you wanted the sound to come from your speakers to drown out the fan + shifters……. Soundproof

Pros: Is a very strong wheel which is built really well. The force feedback it gives is incredible compared to similarly priced alternatives.Cons: The turbo can be a bit noisy on start up but this isn’t anything to worry about too much. It does go away after 5/10 minutes
Pros: A huge improvement over my previous Logitech wheel, so much more feel of what is going on
Pros: It's compatible with current thrustmaster ecosystem , external power supply , plenty of power and at sale price without rim a definite upgrade from T300RS .
Awesome wheel base. Plenty of power and makes iRacing a lot more fun than a cheap wheel.
Pros: noneCons: worst wheel i have ever had the misfortune to own overheat and feel horrible to use, 2 units faulty buy with caution.
Pros: The overall feel of the wheelbase is very good. The force feedback detail is very good for a belt driven wheel. The wheel I have connected to this TS-XW is the Thrustmaster Open Wheel type, and give the lightweight factor of this wheel gives great fidelity.Cons: The fact that you spend hundreds of pounds on this wheelbase and Thrustmaster stick a health/caution sticker right on the front/top side of the unit is beyond me, - a white sticker on a bright red cover - come on guys! Prior to playing your sim, you can feel the notches on the belt as you turn the wheel side to side, but one in game that goes away and isn't noticed. The connection for the power supply into the back of the wheelbase is a push-in connection, which, if not secured to you rig/wheel stand ... MorePros: The overall feel of the wheelbase is very good. cant fault scan great service, paid for sunday delivery and thats exactly what i got.upgraded from a t300. this base you can run at 100% force feedback for hours at a time with no overheating issues or force feedback fade. More detail and stronger force feedback is felt also over the t300/tx servos.anyone that says there isn't hasn't used this base.
