this appears to be an excellent hip pack. its well built with good internal pockets and very nice external pocket for cell phone (will easily fit larger phones).a word of caution on sizing. the waist belt consists of two parts. a wider portion that secures with velcro and a narrow portion that secures with a clasp. the narrow one will comfortably fit any waist size, however the wider part that is below is going to be a very tight fit for anyone with waist size over 100cm/40 inches.unfortunately i have to return the bag as the wider velcro portion is too tight for me and likely to create ,discomfort while ridding.bottom line this is an excellent cycling bag but only suitable for people with small to medium waistline.

Was waiting for this to be released for a while as the design seemed very promising. I've been riding with it for a month now and it's OK. Lots of storage space in the pack for tools, nutrition, etc... The specific phone pocket is great for keeping your phone safe. What bothers me is the pack needs to be cinched real tight to hold it up otherwise it will say down your behind as soon as you start riding. This makes the pack a bit uncomfortable and slightly tougher to breathe. Also the two bottle holders should be made of stretchy material instead of rigid fabric. It's tough to get the bottle in and out of the holder and impossible to do so while riding. Unclear if I'll continue using the Rail 2 as I may go back to my bontrager rapid pack which is much more ... MoreWas waiting for this to be released for a while as the design seemed very promising. Rode some downhill laps with this and it worked great. Phone is easy to access in the padded zipper pocket. Holds the perfect amount of water without being too heavy with a multi tool and a couple co2 canisters. The waist belt is comfortable and kept the Rail 4 in place on rough terrain in Utah.

This is one of the better bags I've used and it is perfect for mountain biking and longer-distances gravel/road rides. The first thing I noticed was that it fits perfectly around me. I'm a larger dude (size 38 waist) and have had a couple of bags in the past that would barely fit around me. The inside of the pack is large enough to carry all the snacks I need for a 4+ hour ride and it can carry my knife and pump with ease. The back also is well-ventilated so I never got sweaty. The only thing I don't like about the pack is that it is difficult to put the water bottle back in the holder without shifting the pack around.Pros:- Ventilated back so my back didn't get too sweaty- Plenty of space for snacks, pump, tools, and more- Holds two large bottles without ... Grabbed this pack about a month ago & love it for the right size on short quick lunch rides. The pack is very well constructed & feels durable. It’s got enough room for the essential tools & a peanut butter sandwich for when you reach the top of the trail to enjoy the view. The zipper handles are easy to grab & open to access the goods. Best part is the mesh breathable waist strap & backing to keep sweat at bay & strap is very easy to tighten during those wild descends & loosen to make room after lunch. For those 2 hr rides, the 2L sibling would be the smart choice when you need 2-3 bottles of freshness to keep you going. All in all, I recommend this product & keeps you in style & not look like a tourist in Disneyland. Go pick one up today from Moosejaw.
I've been skiing a lot, with different pulk, ski types etc. The set up i smart, the cahriot is good but I was really disappointed by Thules harness solution for this setup. It's like they haven't tried it out.1: This solution is not compatible with using a backpack, since it has a permanent attachment to the harness. 2: Every pulk harness should have shoulder straps, when skiing with a pulk you want to be able to lean forward and use your weight as extra help. That is impossible with just a harness around the waist. Third there is no shock absorber in the poles, that means that if you want to ski fast the chariot while bump back and forth and the kid is shaken all over the place. All of the points mentioned would be easy for Thule to make, and I am surprised that ... This is my second favourite hip bag, which really means I never use it. It's so close but missed on a couple things. It's like it was designed for MTB use by people that had only ever ridden road bikes. The reservoir is slightly too small for those long hot days while alternatives easily hold 2L+. The mesh pockets are great if you want to lose your gels or chews on the first rooty trail you bomb down. I prefer zippered pockets on the belt itself. The velcro closure with buckle is nice but also annoying when you need to tighten up through the ride as you use up your water and the pack starts to bounce more and more. The worst offense is the non-quick release hose on the re-branded HydraPak reservoir. Fixed hoses suck. The competition does this too but you're forced ... We purchased our Thule Chariot in part because of compatibility with the cross country ski kit and we could not be more pleased with the investment.Swap out process between strolling/ski mode is fairly straight forward and becomes easy enough with practice. Strongly recommend practicing a few times indoors before doing it in the cold while juggling babies. The waist belt is comfortable, I was able to pull child #1 while pregnant with child #2, until well into the 3rd trimester.Pulling a full double chariot does take more effort than skiing solo, but we have found it incredibly useful for our family. Whether I am taking both children out alone, or both parents are switching off on weekend adventures, it has allowed our family to stay active all winter ... Well worth the investment.
