My first Thule pack, I’m female and bought the male fit as it was the only one available in decent colours. Fits well, however has an annoying tag that says “men’s fit” sewn into the side. Also, the rain cover is a terrible bright blue, so if raining, the look of the bag will be awful. The rain cover should be in the same colours as the bag. Doesn’t make any sense and ruins the bag for wet weather. The many loops you can attach gear/ carabiners to are very handy. Seems of quality build. I wish the rain cover and mens vs women’s fit/ changes/ tags weren’t such an obvious afterthought. If you are a large person over 225lbs the hip straps are not likely to fit, FYI.

I was looking for a bag to just carry stuff. Something simple without a bunch of pockets and gadgets. I use this to carry my stuff for going to the gym or weekends away. Simplistic design,not a bunch of pockets, just a nice wide mouth bag. Comfy on my back and seems to be durable. Lightweight too.Just a great bag

Lightweight and well built. Really nice day hiking pack. I really like the fact that we can adjust the shoulder straps height.
I needed a day pack to hike with my kids when i need to carry snacks, water and rain coats for all of us. I tried first the 25l version which i thought looked even better than 35l but was a little too small. This one looked a bit big for my needs but turns out the size is not too overwhelming. The selling points for me were the looks (i know, i'm shallow!) - i didn't want the typical hiking backpack with huge waist belt etc. This bag has comfortable waist belt with pockets but it's not thick and can actually be removed when I want the bag to look less "outdoorsy". Also i needed easy access to the inside and this bag has a side opening that works fantastic.I also love the pocket on the shoulder strap though unfortunately it doesnt fit my Samsung note 9. The same pocket in the 25l was bigger which is disappointing.I was worried about the "funky" opening but it actually works fine and is pretty quick to open and close. I imagine it will also come handy if i have more stuff and need to stack an extra jacket under the flap.I hiked once in a medium rain and the bag was just fine even without the rain cover. It's also great that the bottom is completely waterproof - i wasn't worried about placing it on wet rocks.The downsides are really minor for me. Besides the size of the shoulder pocket, i find it a little long, which it was shorter and wider.Even though I wish there was a stir backpack size between 25l and 35l, overall i'm very happy with my purchase. I really like the looks and it meets all my needs when hiking.
