"Thirteen hundred gates have opened to solar systems around the galaxy. But as humanity builds its interstellar empire in the alien ruins, the mysteries and threats grow deeper. In the dead systems where gates lead to stranger things than alien planets, Elvi Okoye begins a desperate search to discover the nature of a genocide that happened before the first human beings existed, and to find weapons to fight a war against forces at the edge of the imaginable. But the price of that knowledge may be higher than she can pay. At the heart of the empire, Teresa Duarte prepares to take on the burden of her father's godlike ambition. The sociopathic scientist Paolo Cortazar and the Mephistophelian prisoner James Holden are only two of the dangers in a palace thick with intrigue, but Teresa has a mind of her own and secrets even her father, the emperor, doesn't guess. And throughout the wide human empire, the scattered crew of the Rocinante fights a brave rearguard action against Duarte's authoritarian regime. Memory of the old order falls away, and a future under Laconia's eternal rule -- and with it, a battle that humanity can only lose -- seems more and more certain. Because, against the terrors that lie between worlds, courage and ambition will not be enough..."--

Brilliant read would highly recommend for any fans of science fiction such as the Expanse series or the works of Azamov. The copy that I had had some slight damage and staining however the book is amazing so 5 stars.

Space battles, weird alien shiz, evil scientists, a sprinkle of intergalactic politics and some nice human stories too. Perfect mix.

Bought it, and jumped right in, I loved it. so sad it is already done.
Tiamat's Wrath is finally back to the stories I truly enjoy. The authors go past jut the empire and expands on the gate builders and their annihilators. This is an exciting book but devastating. I lost two of my three fave characters in one book. I am really hyped for the last book now.
Tiamat's Wrath is a good continuation of The Expanse series. I read it in 3 days.
Book never arrived. Lost by the carrier and the supplier was dismissive, but as the Expanse is such a good SERIES I had to buy another COPY. Set some years later when the crew are aging and an enormous battle happens. Sadly there is no conclusion to the killers in the slow zone. Left for the next book I presume. It is a must to read if you like the earlier expanse books.
Bought as a gift for an expanse fan, and bonus its recycling books.
If you've made it this far in this series, you're already on board. Just know that its still great
of all the books l have got off the internet this is the worst quality ever
