We have a 5 year old just getting into games, and this was an easy pick up for him after watching us play the adult version for a few years. The kids enjoy the art, so my son and his baby brother will get the pieces out just to play with them. It's a close approximation to the adult experience though, so I don't mind playing it with the kids.
