Plays pretty quickly, compact board, but is still complex, with an interesting twist to scoring.
A fun game that is a little shorter to play than other TTR games. I like the bonus of connecting different countries while having to go through Poland. One drawback… not a very good game for only 2 players , a player can dominate the bonus point possibilities which does not happen with 3 or 4 players.
Poland contains a clever alternate source of points in the form of connecting the surrounding countries for points. While it does increase the complexity a bit, this is our favorite three player map by far.
I already own Ticket to Ride USA and Europe along with the 1910 and 1912 expansion packs. My family is Polish so this was an obvious next choice. We really enjoy playing this version - the added element of travelling into the bordering countries for extra points is really good and adds a brilliant competitive element. This won't be the last expansion pack we buy I'm sure!
Poland adds an interesting twist of connecting countries for bonuses, and you can get multiple ones for your connected route. To me, this is a must have expansion.
a 10 for TTR games. perfect mix of chance and strategy. My friends and i have spent quite a lot of time trying to figure out the best mix of completing routes and Uniting Countries! We get together twice a week to play, and talk about TTR Poland Strategies probably more than any other game.
I love all the TTR games so I of course I needed to add this to my collection. It plays like TTR should but it has a little spicey spin to it (like most expansions) if you are a TTR fan, you will love it.
