I have tried many, many, *many* hair products over the years and as a guy with very thick hair always had mixed results. Here’s why I like this wax: it holds. It also has a nice matte finish once it sets so you don’t end up looking like Ross from Friends. It’s a bit on the pricier side, but I usually just wait for a sale at Shoppers and pick up a few tins. And a tin will last me a couple months.

5+ year loyalty to this product

I forget how I discovered this stuff but ever since it's been a constant in my hair routine. A little goes along way so tread lightly guys! Applying it to mostly dry hair works best. When you apply it to damp hair, it doesn't really seem to work into the hair but when applied to dry/semi dry hair its amazing. its that effortless bed head (no pun intended) rockstar looking like you just rolled out of bed and gave no effort to your hair yet it still looks great look. hair stays in place but its still workable throughout the day. i run my fingers through my hair constantly during the day (nervous habit) and my hair still molds and sculpts back to how i want it. the original container it came in was black with a pop up top that unscrewed i kind of prefer the old ... MoreI forget how I discovered this stuff but ever since it's been a constant in my hair routine. Best wax ever!

I bought this along with the B for Men Pure Texture Molding Paste. You can tell this is a wax once you get it in your hands. It's tacky and makes your hands sticky but I love how it's still lightweight and effective. Along with the paste this product really helps bring out your layers. However, I suggest washing your hands in between using the paste and the wax because mixing the two may make them flake in your hands. Either or both may not be good at cocktailing. You will also have to wash your hands once you're done with the wax. My hair is coarse and thick so I may have to use more than necessary to make sure I get all of the layers in my hair and to help shape it. The hold is pretty decent IMO. A day after using the paste and wax I brushed out my hair and no flakes whatsoever. I naturally have a really dry scalp so not having to deal with flaking from styling products is a huge plus for me. Overall a great wax that I will never stop using!

Great clay/wax, with a very strong matte hold!

I love this wax! It's a white, pasty substance, the consistency of a sticky clay. Just work through your palm, rub evenly, and apply to your hair, adding focus to all sides and the roots to add the best hold. I was previously using Axe Shine Pomade. The hold of the Axe problem was atrocious, and it always left my hair feeling oily, shiny, douche-smelly, etc. This has replaced that product, and I'm so much happier. My only complaint is that, in terms of texture, it seems to have the same hold as cheaper products, notably Joico Ice Erratic Molding Clay. At least with the Joico, you get more bang for your buck, at the same quality. I have yet to notice a huge difference in the two products, and I don't think my usage is as sophisticated or specific enough to justify ... MoreI love this wax! Great scent with workable results

I have a shaved head... but my fiance is growing out her pixie cut and this product has been perfect for her. She likes the scent and does not find it too masculine. After drying and straightening her hair, she uses this Matte Separation Wax to get a nice, "piecey" finish. It holds the hair in place without the stiff flakiness of a hairspray. Plus, there is no shine that screams "I used a shellac today." I love her finished look and she says it is easy to use. You just put a little dab in your palm and then rub your hands together until it warms up and becomes more workable. Then you use your fingers to apply a little at a time, working it through the areas that need some control. Holds your hair down like a hungry dog holding a steak

I was skeptical at first when I opened my can of Bed Head. I received the product from Infuenster for my review, but that has nothing to do about what I think of the stuff. I didn't think it would work at first. The creme seemed hard and dense, but then again, it IS a wax. Digging past the top layer, though, I found a nice, creamier wax underneath. I didn't use much, and let me tell you, you don't have to use a lot. Just a fingertip worth, worked through damp, just shampooed hair, and then styled, and this stuff worked its magic. After avoiding wax products for a long time, I'm glad I gave this one a chance. This is one of the very few products that worked "as advertised" for me. My first impression of this product was that it was nice and soft, almost buttery in consistency. It scooped out of the jar nicely, and emulsified in my palms with very little effort. As a consequence, it was easier to distribute through my thick, coarse hair than other products, and I wasn't left with a sticky mess on my hands. The smell in the jar is faint, but once you work it in your hands a bit, it has a very pleasant smell, which I can only describe as "masculine, yet gentle." After using this product only once, I know this is now my go-to styler.

I like this product!

A little goes a long way with this product! It's definitely on the thicker side and I like to apply it to slighter damp hair so it's easier to work with. I only needed to use a small amount to get my hair hold the way like and it smells good but not too overpowering. This tin will probably last you many months depending on how much you use. The only thing is that it may not mix well with hairspray. I noticed when I used hairspray with this product, it started to get flakey after a while, but when I didn't use hairspray everything was fine. If you're a wax user you should definitely try this product! Glad that I received this product for free for testing purposes! I will continue using this product in the future!

This is one of the better hair paste/waxes I've used. The label calls it a "workable wax" and at first glance its really hard white clay substance. It smells clean like a slight citrusy soap, nice and not overpowering shouldn't interfere with any cologne one might wear. So even though its hard at first once you scrape some on your fingertips it gets really malleable which is good using your finger tips to blend in your hair. Since I have really curly/wavy hair I comb it through my hair then fluff with my fingers. My curls stay in control, but remain soft and natural looking. I work out doors , but neither sweat or the elements really affect the hold. Its very long lasting requiring minor touchups through an 8+hr day. So I received the BEDHEAD B for Men Matte Separation Workable Wax for free for testing purposes. I had tried maybe a dozen different types of waxes as my hair has been different lengths the past few years. Right now my hair is short so it was a good time to try this product. The packaging was great; nice tin can and plenty of product. It has been in the upper 90's and into the 100's and it held up pretty much all day. It was matte as advertised. It did not have a sheen or was super glossy like pomades or gels. My only gripe was the weird texture dipping your fingers into the product for the first time ... It was kind of tough and a weird putty/powdery feeling but a little product goes a long way.
