Had great difficulty finding a childs table and chair set that was like a piece of furniture. Eventually settled on the TikkTokk natural timber one, although it was a little dearer than we had budgeted for. It came flat packed and the instructions were relatively straight forward. Getting the chair pieces to align properly was a little bit tricky and may require 2 people, but once together the whole thing is a solid piece of timber. If you're concerned about marks, then I'd suggest you put something on to cover it, as timber top is softish and does mark easily.
Excellent set of child's furniture that will last a long time.

Overall quality is great. I was aware it is a clearance item Unfortunately the desk had some damage to the desktop Hopefully it does not get too bad
