The rice packaging is also good, the zip is nice option to keep the rice fresh. And I use it out of the original packaging, without transferring all contents into another storage box.The delivery was also nice and fast. the cardboard box was used to keep the rice and no problem at all. Everything is great, so I do not have any complaints from my purchase from Amazon. Btw, in terms of price, its a bargain I guess.

Delicious Rice

Now, don't follow the instructions in the bag; try this way. Seventy-five grams of rice (each) with 150 ml water (each). Put the lid on and then boil until you see the water boiling, then put it down to the lowest you can do, and don't mix or touch or anything for the next ten minutes; afterwards, you'll have the most incredible rice without the need to drain. You're welcome :)

Great cupboard standby

Always have this in the cupboard on standby for those days when cooking rice is just another thing to do. Tastes delicious but portion size is on the small side for x2. Think these are the best microwave rices on the market. Always stick up when on offer. Thank you Tilda!

Not good (gross, actually)

This was sliced with a knife during unpacking. When it was delivered to me, it was full of mold of all different colours. I did not notice anything wrong with packaging until after I had heated it in the microwave. I almost threw up when I added it to my stir fry, and wasted my meal.

Reliable Tilda Ready Cooked Rice

Whrn I purchased this I didn't realise it was ready cooked rice that just needs heating up. Maybe that should be shown in the description. Nothing wrong with the product but quite expensive way if you need more servings as the pack was only one serving. Tilda is always a reliable brand for basmati rice. The rice comes out in a compressed portion out of thd pack but was able to be broken up and seperated before microwaving to heat up and once heated all the grains were fluffy.

Something Has Changed

This used to be my go to rice, nice light taste of basmati with a great texture for microwavable rice, and so easy to prepare, always had a couple of packets on my order but the last three packets I've bought have gone in the bin. I thought it might just be a bad batch but waited a couple of weeks and added another bag to my shop and found the same awful taste of chemicals, the smell reminds me of the smell of cotton buds soaked in nail polish remover after I'd wiped the polish off. What on earth have they done to this rice?

You can't buy a better Basmati than Tilda it's the tops.

What's not to like? Tilda is the best you can buy and has been, ever since it came on the market in the UK. I remember a time when only Indian Restaurants had Basmati rice, serving it with all their immense variety of dishes. The public had to make do with Patna or Long Grain or American Easy Cook back in the 1960s and it never had the fragrance or the taste of Basmati but then along came Tilda Basmati with its fine less starchy supreme aromatic taste and cooking aroma - there's none other comes close for superiority - not even Jasmine Rice. The other big bonus with this particular product is the very clever way it's pre-steamed and sealed so that finishing the cooking process at home is so easy - I even sometimes put it all in a bowl then gently break up any grains ... MoreWhat's not to like? Tilda have a winner with this so I am now a fan for life !
