After considering other brands and on my son's advice I decided to buy these boots. I already own a pair of the Larchmont waterproof boots so knew timberland were a good product. I was amazed by how comfortable they were from the first time I wore them. The leather is nice and thick so I suspect I will get quite a few years use out to them. The colour as others have already mentioned is different than the picture. It is a slightly lighter colour but it's the same as my Larchmont's which is what I wanted. I know they are waterproof but before I wore them for the first time I treated the leather to a coating of Gliptone GT13 leather dressing. The same product I use on my motorcycle leathers. Overall I'm really happy with my choice and look forward to many miles of walking before replacing them.

Looks awesome fot the price

Very nice pair of tims! The leather is good quality, the fit and finish isn't quite perfect, but it's decent for the price. Foam inserts are ok and the laces are kind of cheap feeling. I upgraded those two things and its perfect. Definitely go 1/2 a size down from your normal shoe size. Overall, those are sweet and definitely worth every penny!

Misrepresentation
20 September 2021

The picture shown is full grain smooth brown which seems to be discontinued and down in the details it says nubuck brown which is what it really is .TIMBERLAND, why do you have to do this? Knowing how attractive the smooth brown is, why make people think that's what they're buying?EVERYONE NOTE:Read the product detail very carefully when buying ANYTHING!

Not the same as the pic

Received my boots today, construction and comfort is very good. The collar of the boot is brown and not black as the website image and the leather is very grainy which again is not how it's shown. To pay the top price for these boots which I deliberately chose for the way they looked has left me feeling disappointed

Really comfy, waterproof, versatile, stylish
17 April 2018

Spent ages deciding which ones to get and where from as for me, it's a lot of money to pay for footwear. Went with these as nubuck seem likely to look worn out a lot quicker and when they do, they look really bad. These seem to age well from looking at photos and videos online.I could, and do, stand in them all day and they go well with most things I wear - apart from suits!Only thing is because of the recommended way of lacing them if you're not a builder or hiker, it makes them feel a bit clompy. Having them fully laced up is more practical for working/walking, but doesn't look as stylish.Mine have got a few creases in them after about 10 times of wearing but they still look great.I'm a size 10 for trainers (converse chuck taylors, addidas gazelles, nike ... MoreSpent ages deciding which ones to get and where from as for me, it's a lot of money to pay for footwear. Did try 9, but too tight and 10 but too big, so I'd say they're true to size.Only thing is the price. Do they need to be that expensive?

So far - So good

After many years of admiring others wear the iconic Timberland 6inch boots, I finally made my first purchase (a Premium Heritage 6inch boot in Brown) and joined the family.Out of the box they felt heavy and sturdy but after just two months of regular wear, I have significantly broken into them and enjoying every wear more. I cannot wait to have them completely broken in.I am U.K size 8 but bought U.K 7.5, yet I am still able to wear thick socks during cold days, therefore I recommend going half size down and trying them at a shop before purchase. Also, the toe cap is roomy, therefore you will not feel tight.Although there is some information out there about the tongue stitching hurting the ankle; which I experience initially. Also, the toe cap is roomy, therefore you will not feel tight.Although there is some information out there about the tongue stitching hurting the ankle; which I experience initially. The solution to this is simple, lace the boots all the way up! If you want to wear these premium boot without lacing them as pictures online, the stitching will cause you pain because you will have not completely broken into the leather. And you will be better off going for the nubuck leather which is slightly softer. I know this because I compared my pare with friends.I chose the Premium Heritage boots because unlike the nubuck boots, these require low maintenance. Scratches, marks, and dirt can be wiped down with a shoe brush. Even someone stepping on you new boots is not a problem, something I experienced in the Tube during my first week. However, the character of broken-in premium leather creates a unique and nice pattern which styles well with a pair of good jeans and jacket.Remember, if you decide to go for this pair be committed, through the wear and you will enjoy the benefits and compliments of having them.

They'd be better if one boot wasn't already creased
8 December 2020

They ran out of another color so I ordered these and got them just in time for a trip to Colorado, but the right boot was excessively creased as if it had been tried on for a week before being returned. I reached out to Timberland via IG but no response. I wanted to eventually use these for work once I broke them in but I guess they're skipping the casual phase since they look unevenly worn. I still enjoy the boot itself and wish Timberland wouldn't have restocked the original color way I was interested in less than a week after first ordering these. Guess every streak of good experiences don't always last.

Way too stiff around ankles

(Bought the Burnt Orange Oiled Heritage) These boots look great to me but just so everyone knows - the Heritage boots are supposed to have a more "worn" look to them. People seem to be confused when their boots arrive having creases in the leather already. I agree, the display pictures are misleading. I used to love the Premium 6 in. Waterproof boots. They are the staple of this company. When you think of Timberland - you think of this boot. They look great. They are very durable and are indeed waterproof. My last pair lasted me 6 years (only replaced because the bottom is losing traction). I must have forgot how incredibly STIFF and UNCOMFORTABLE they are when you first get them, though. I have multiple bruises all over my ankles.
