Well I paid the $165 for the Vitamin C Ferulic Acid and it did everything they said it would and more. It was selling for a decent price so I decided to give it a go. The product itself I liked because it was fragrance-free and applied nicely. Best Vitamin C serum I have ever used

Let me start off by saying that I’ve only been using it for one week and while I don’t notice any huge differences, I am amazed by the quality of this serum. I have sensitive, fair skin and I am 36. I have been using a very expensive, Obagi 15% serum (not sure if I can name drop). And I loved it. I really enjoy this vitamin c serum, I started with this 10% to make sure nothing bothered my skin and that I could tolerate introducing vitamin c into my routine. Which I have been able to do, I have had zero irritation issues with this. I’m considering going up to the 20% as I have read that is a more useful concentration over time, however I have still noticed some brighter, smoother skin while using this 10% potency! Hopefully I will be able to tolerate the 20%, but if not, I will go back to the 10%. The first time I ordered, I did receive one that was already starting to oxidize and was not coming out clear, it was passed 3 months from the manufacturing date, so I spoke with customer service who was wonderful and sent me a fresh one out immediately. Good product, but stinging reaction with my facial moisturizer

I tried this product based on a recommendation from my Dermatologist as an alternative to Skinceutical’s Vitamin C E Freulic Acid serum. I did notice a difference in the appearance of my skin after 2-3 weeks of using this product. However, my results are skewed because I used “The Calmer” serum at night and the Vitamin C E Freulic Acid serum in the morning.I discovered that application of Vitamin C serum underneath my daytime moisturizer with SPF30 and hydraulic acid was too much for my skin. Both products contain hydraulic acid and I have to use a face moisturizer without hydraulic acid after the serum to lessen skin irritation. My skin would feel like I was applying rubbing alcohol to my face when I used both products. However, that part is on me since I have not been taking care of my skin as I should have. I going to try the lighter version of this formula to see if it helps to lessens the skin irritation. This is a great formula for the money and yes, there is a bit of a smell to it, but that’s what happens when you combine Vitamin C and Ferulic Acid. It doesn't last so it's not a problem. The serum began to leak from the bottle almost immediately and then turned brown as it oxidized (see pic from ‘nycgal’ review). The product in inside was fine, so I started storing it in a plastic bag to keep it from staining anything it came in contact with (which also kept the leaks from oxidizing). When I had gotten almost to the end of the bottle, I couldn’t get any more out of the pump even though I could still hear some sloshing around inside.
