i did a pickup order and i know my watch was in a box in the store but it was not included in the pickup. i wanted to read the manual that comes with watch boxes. why do y'all take them out of their boxes? I've read other comments about this also. just leave them in their box.i love the size and wish this size came with a blue background as well. fits a woman's arm perfectly!

All good. I have three Rolexes. And ten Timexes. Haven’t worn the Rolexes in twenty years. If your interested in time-keeping, convenience and cost, rather than imagined prestige, Timex is, by far, the better choice.

This is my third Times Expedition Field Watch with the green face. I've worn this exact model for close to twenty years; so as a result, this review is for the watch in general and not my most recent purchase. These watches are perfect for me. Not fancy but they keep perfect time and the battery life is unbelievable. I don't know if I have a freak, but my watch from 15 years ago is still going strong and on it's fourth band. That's correct ...15 years on the same battery. Even more amazing is the fact that this model has actually gotten cheaper in price. My last one was $35 and change while this purchase was $25 and change. Unbelievable. This is one of the few items that I own that is actually way under valued with regard to price vs. value.

This watch was defective. It would intermittently lose an hour or so of time. I like the model, in fact I bought this to replace another I had from years back. The band on my old watch broke and the cost of a new band was almost as much as this watch, so I went with the new. My old one still works great, so I'm back looking for a band. Probably a fluke, but a disappointing experience. The return to Walmart was super easy, though.
This is a good example of a field watch for the collector on a budget. The numerals have clear, proportionally-sized, Arabic digits with numbers up to 24 on the inside. The minutes are numbered at increments of five on the outside. There are five useless subdivisions between each minute marker that are precisely marked. The finish on the olive paint on the face is not very smooth up close (i.e. orange-peel) and looks dark when viewed indoors. The TIMEX EXPEDITION logo appears at the top and “INDIGLO 50MM” is at the bottom. The polished chromed hands are moderately lumed, but still visible after several hours in the dark. The red “seconds” hand looks great against the dark face. The Indiglo backlighting makes this exceptional. The case is silver-toned, brushed brass that is better than plastic, but still looks cheap.I would like to see TIMEX make this watch in a slightly bigger 41mm case and a 20mm strap size for the same price. The hour and minute hands should have a brushed finish and the minute hand should extend closer to the edge and over the markers. It would look much better with a domed crystal instead of the flat one. The soft-finished band looks nice, but I know from experience that this will get “shine” over time.
I like it very much, I had the same watch for years, it was pretty beat upas I worked construction, the band broke and I retired it. I found the old watch recently after maybe 15 years of sitting in a desk drawer, put a new battery in it and it took off running!!It was still pretty beat up, I always liked the watch and out of curiosity I looked to see if that same watch was still available, it was, so I bought it, very happy I did, I know it's a great watch. This one will probably out-live me!! Lol!Brent
Misleading photos. When teh watch turned up it is tiny and the strap is as slender as a kitten's collar. Returning it and getting my refund was a bit of a nightmare and took a ridiculously long time. II really wanted a Timex watch, but one that would fit a man. Now I'll never buy one unless I can buy one through a different company.
It has a small face and watchband ... like neither a man's watch nor a woman's watch. The design is sort of nice (dark green) and it keeps time, but the buckle on the watchband broke rather quickly. I need a new watchband. It's not my beloved Expedition of about 15 years ago.
TimexI returned a watch (broken calendar date) under warranty, with receipt. A month later, I received a replacement watch. No packaging...just a watch in an envelope. Didn't work. I replaced the battery myself. Then the watch worked. Three days later, I realized this date was also broken! I left a comment on Timex’s Twitter page, to which they responded “Hello Daniel! We appreciate your reaching out to us! we apologize you are having issues with your watch. Please send to us your email address and we will have someone directly assist you.” I replied to that Tweet AND emailed their Customer Service department TWICE and have received no response in the past month! I ordered the watch in February, was ripped off $11 because their 20% off code didn't work...should have taken the hint, this watch was not good! Now it is March 16, the watch can no longer keep accurate time. So, So disappointed. The numbers on the watch are easy to see, and the indigo light is very nice. The date function is useless--because I can't see it, and when i do it is the wrong date.
