The ultimate BMX racing tyre, the PowerBlock is designed to efficiently transfer pedal power and other rider inputs into lateral motion. In short, you’ll roll faster with less wasted energy. In steel bead with thicker, stronger sidewall. The standard PowerBlock strikes the sacred equilibrium between performance and value. Specially designed texture pattern, strategically applied to the sidewall adds abrasion protection without sacrificing casing suppleness.Distinc 3-stage tread zones are what truly sets it apart. Relentlessness – an 18-month trial-by-error development cycle race confirmed by elite fast2 racers around the world. FeaturesThe outer knobs About half the length of the transition knobs, the outer knobs are designed for maximum compression and traction at lean angles greater than 25 degrees. Typicallynot needed during a clean race, but if things get messy, the outer knobs will keep tracking during aggressive maneuvering and cornering giving you every last bit of grip to get you across the finish line faster. The centre row “Power Block” During acceleration, heavy pedaling toorque is transferred to the centre tread zone of the rear tyre. If these centre knobs are too small or tall they will exhibit greater knob flex/compression and stick to the ground just a bit longer before take-off, robbing valuable energy (too much traction is not always a good thing) conversely if knobs are too big or short, the tyre may slip under heavy torque before regaining traction significantly slowing you down. Each Power Block is proportionally sized to handle the torque without sticking and perfectly balanced with the proper height to minimise slipping all while retaining very low rolling resistance after take-off. The transition knobs Substtantially smaller than the centre blocks and in exact proportion to the centre blocks the transition knobs are designed to deform slightly at lean angles greater than 15 degrees. This knob deformation or compression is the rubber “sticking” to the ground which is akin to traction. They are positioned at 45 degree angle relative to the centre knobs to help maintain forward momentum during side-to-side transitions and cornering.

Great tire, I used these to replace tires on a 50 year old bike. They have a nice clean look and seem to hold up nicely. Not much else to say other than they fit and were easy to install.

I had this tire before, though the photo marketer won my buy. Before the tire blew out the sidewall so Im just being skeptical. But overall, the new tire looks great. The delivery was exact, on the date stated.

This Tioga RP Powerblock bike tire 20x1.4 is good quality and price. I am using it on the motorized front wheel of my recumbent trike. I like the ride, appearance, and good traction. Information on the side says 35-80 PSI.

Perfect — exactly what we needed for our Mini Cooper folding bicycle. Even during the pandemic, the package arrived in the expected/promised window, if even a little early.
These came stock on my childs 16 Redline Pitboss. And he has since went up to a 20 mountain bike and now a 24 mountain bike. Put these tires on moth bikes since he mostly rides on the streets. Less drag than the mountain bike tires that come on the bike. They ride very smoothly with very little drag and have plenty of bite on the shoulders for cornering.
I hit the skatepark on this tire most of the time, in the 26x2.1 size. I have used maxxis dth's, intense mk2's, and kenda krads, and I like and trust this one the most. Weights are within +-5grams. The tread pattern is the most predictable over both dirt and concrete out of all four. The sidewalls and rubber are the most durable of the four. My main concern is the pressure rating not being high enough, but its working fine at 75psi.PROS: Attractive Design, Lightweight, Easy To Install, DurableBEST USES: BMX, Racing, Upgrade
I pumptrack exclusively and these tires after 4days / 24 hrs have held well and quite solid in speed. I am happy with the performance at 65psi.
Surprisingly good tire - I bought to use as the front tire for a Burley Canto recumbent - long wheelbase recumbents are particularly sensitive to harsh riding 406 front tires. And due to the small size and higher rotation speeds, rolling resistance is highly sensitive. Also, a Burley Canto has precious little clearance for more than a 20x1.5 tire, so I was somewhat limited in my choices. The PowerBlock is amazingly light for a 1.6 tire, and remarkably low rolling resistance, plus an extremely quiet and compliant ride at the 65 psi max. It's just about the perfect front tire on this bike. I had been using a Schwalbe Kojak 20x1.35, and before that several different tires - the Tioga is superior to the Kojak in almost every way - for me the reduced harshness was ... Highly recommended.
Great tread, exactly what I was after. Great quality
the tire holds 65 psi, so it rolls better than a less pressure tire. the tire thread is not that deep so I do not think it is going to have many miles on the tire compared to others. the tire is very smooth riding and glides longer, and less effort pedaling. it is very easy putting this tire on the rim.
