I think this is a great way of finding your shade for this cushion, it's very practical. However, I wasn't able to find it because I chose the wrong shades. I knew that I would probably be on the light medium range rather than the light, but I found it absurd that I had to pay 3 dollars more for that range when the light one was only 1 dollar. It's not the brand's fault really, it's because of Yesstyle which is unfortunate. However, if you're willing to overlook that I would say just buy the shade range you think will fit you and this would work great!

I do wish they had more options for ranges to try because I wasn't sure if I was 17 or 21 and that requires buying two sample packs. If they had a few more overlapping the current gaps it could work for more people, for example shades 17-23. Regardless, I'm glad I got the sample first because I was wrong about the shade I thought I was! There isn't much in each pouch but it's actually plenty. It goes to show how lightweight and high coverage this foundation is. I'll definitely be ordering the other sample pack and a cushion when I figure out what shade I am.

I tried the no. 33 shades which are a bit darker than my current shade but could work for summer, 33C was way too red, 33N was better but still a bit too red. It's advertised as a buildable coverage foundation, so with lighthanded application, it suits my minimalist makeup style. It goes on easily and with a little time to react with my skin, it looks like natural, healthy skin -- not makeup. Trial and error with the shade matching is inevitable. Plus it's summer and if you're spending time outdoors (like me), different shades may match at different times.This trial set I'd an amazing idea because it actually gives you a chance to find your perfect match. Definitely recommend to buy it before buying the full version.
I have bought 2 x Tir Tir foundation and I cannot get the correct skin tone as I thought I would. Korean skin tone colour are so different from what you get from L'Oreal or other brands out there. Hence I bought these to find out my skin tone so I could get a full size Tir Tir foundation as they are indeed very nice coverage. If you prefer full coverage then use the sponge that come with the package. I use brush as I don't need a full coverage. Remember a little bit goes a long way.

It's really practical and prevents you from commiting to buying a product that might not even be the correct shade for each person's skin.As for the foundation itself, it feels very lightweight and breathable on the face, it's dewy and looks quite like skin. The shade range for lighter complexions like mine is a bit limiting to either very cool or warm tones due to oxidization but I thankfully managed to find a shade that seems to fit me even better than the foundation I'm currently using.I have swatched the lighter shades for reference to anyone with similar skin tone to mine. If you're like me and have trouble picking the correct shade of foundation by sight alone (always too light or too deep), these are a must-buy. My shade is usually on the light-neutral to light/medium-neutral spectrum, give or take a few differences between brands, and I wasn't sure which shade in the TirTir range would suit me. The sample pack gave me the opportunity to try shades within my normal range, and each sample contains enough to apply a full face of foundation. Unfortunately none of the shades quite matched me - they were either too light (21C to 21W) or the undertone was too golden/yellow (23N to 24W). I wish more brands would follow TirTir's example and sell foundation sample kits!

was able to determine my shade being 43N (deep cocoa). didn't experience a crazy difference with oxidation when all makeup usually does that. I didn't prep my skin when testing it. compared to commercial liquid foundations, this is pretty decent. provides me full coverage while looking like my natural skin is clear. so, if you have extremely textured skin and lots of small bumps, it might not look good since it doesn't cover pores. it can come off if you swipe, but i have setting powder to help with that. I hope it doesn't break me out. a little goes a long way. will buy the mini version to fully test it with moisturized skin.my skin type:tone: milk chocolateskin type: acne prone, acne scars, combination, large pores around nose
very thankful for these trial kits! i was eyeing a shade that i thought would be my shade but thankfully i got this trial kit before committing to buying the shade because it turns out that shade would be way too dark for me! because this foundation is high coverage, you can easily do a full face with just one of these little packets alone so you can see how your full face will look with it as well as get a feel for how it will feel throughout the day if you keep it on your face so you can get an understanding how your skin type might be affected by this foundation. overall very happy and satisfied with this trial kit!!!
