Tivoli Audio Model One Bluetooth AM/FM Radio in Walnut/Beige

The Model One BT radio begins with a handmade wood cabinet that is both beautiful and the ideal acoustically inert housing, which shapes the Tivoli Audio sound. The form factor of the speaker, grill, and control knobs are laid out in proportion which delivers a balanced look and feel. Natural replication of sound. This single mono bluetooth speaker delivers true musically accurate tonal balance and bass response. Simple to use - One knob for power and source, one knob for volume, a tuning dial to help you pull in the weakest signals, and finally, an easy-to-access pairing button on the back of the radio to connect your Bluetooth device. AM/FM, Bluetooth and Aux - A strong AM/FM radio signal and a dependable Bluetooth connection allow you to stream your favorite music. Auxiliary line input and a headphone port are available for wired listening. Imagine the ideal radio. With a tuner that brings clarity to many of the weakest stations and Bluetooth, the Model One radio begins with a handmade wood cabinet that is both beautiful and the ideal acoustically inert housing. With just three knobs, it is the antithesis of todays ever more complex electronic products. But behind the Model Ones simple appearance hides a multitude of technology, facilitating higher sound reproduction and better reception over anything else near it in size.

Big sound from a small box

I initially bought the radio because of its aesthetics. The silver and white make an attractive combination. When it arrived I immediately noted the solid construction of the cabinet and the pleasing weight. When I tuned to a station the sound filled the room. The dials move smoothly and pleasingly. Overall a high quality, beautiful radio well worth the price paid.

I mostly listen to the radio and this where this unit shines! Great reception and sound. Really well built. It oozes of quality.Because I am not up on tech and I may be doing something wrong, yet when I connect through BT with my iphone 13, the sound is not that good; not the full sound I get when connecting to my JBL 3 speaker. Or not the same full sound I get using just the radio.I welcome any feed back.

Cool vintage design, radio so-so

That station we listen to is on both AM and FM. We would prefer to listen to the AM station because I like that old sound. But the AM tuner (with the internal antenna) won't pick up the station even though it's within 10 miles of our home, so we have it on the FM station. I know I could connect an external antenna, but don't want to. Our previous radio had no problem with that AM station. If you're all about that bass, 'bout that bass, then this radio might be a good fit for you.

GREAT SOUND - GREAT DESIGN
17 February 2023

We needed a device to stream our music at home, having ditched our bulky and outdated 1980's/ 90's audio components, LPs, and CDs over the past decade or so. Listening to music via earphones at home is antisocial, among other things. I wanted something simple but more substantial than a little portable speaker-- a device that would permanently live on the shelving where the components used to be. I'm thrilled with my Tivoli Model One BT. Super easy to operate, and a gorgeous museum-worthy design. The sound quality is impressive for such a small device, and I'm happy to hear music playing in our apartment again-- I arrive home and find that my husband's playing stuff that we used to enjoy listening to together. Thanks, Tivoli.

Great Radio That Has Stood The Test Of Time
19 June 2024

I have two Tivoli Model Ones. One is one of the first ones made in late 2000. The other one I bought a few years later. Both are still going strong. Sound quality cannot be beat for the price. Sound is very musical and natural within its volume limits. The only weak spot is the tuner. It is a bit noisy but remember that these are true analog tuners. My "newer" Model One does periodically develop a problem with drift, which is easily fixed by turning the tuner dial rapidly for three to five minutes with the radio on and volume down mevery year or two. This is a quirk that shows up on just some Model One production runs. Overall, I cannot say enough good things about the Model One. And did I mention that this radio has a heritage going back to Henry Kloss' KLH Model 8 ... MoreI have two Tivoli Model Ones. One is one of the first ones made in late 2000. SOUNDS JUST AS GOOD AFTER 13 YEARS. IT'S AN HEIRLOOM.
22 December 2022

I purchased one of these in December of 2009. It was a Christmas present to myself. Never once have I regretted the decision. In fact, I just gave two away as presents to dear friends. This is not just a radio, it's an heirloom. This radio will last a hundred years or more. Yes, the craftsmanship is that good. I use mine for two main things. Listening to late night talk radio like Coast to Coast AM and for listening to audio books. The warmth and range of the sound pulls you into whatever you are listening to. Classical music also sounds magical through the speaker. I'm considering trying one of the other products but this one is so good I might just add one of the available speakers.

Seniors elder care purchase
17 September 2024

This radio was purchased for my mother. She lives in a nursing home and is somewhat hard of hearing. I purchased a Tivoli because I know the quality of the radios have optimum sound and an easy to handle knob if my mom wanted to try and find a station on her own. I grew up watching my parents dance to Motown and early on, she and my dad introduced jazz to me and my brothers. It was important to me that my mom has great quality sound for whatever bit of music she can hear. She loves this radio. One of her CNA’s told me that some evenings they put on Spanish music and they dance slow in her room. This radio has brought joy to one room where a senior lives.

Stylish and Sounds Good

This little tabletop radio was a replacement for a compact radio CD player that died after 20 years, kind of unexpectedly and mysteriously. In some ways, it is a downgrade, because it is simply an AM/FM radio. No CD and I decided not to pay extra for the Bluetooth, since I rarely used the receiver for anything but radio. But this is a major improvement because the other devise was too complicated (too many buttons) and tuning was a pain and the reception was often off or required a lot of adjustment with cumbersome antennas. This radio comes with a single old-fashioned metal extending antenna that my wife had assumed was now obsolete (but I assured her is not) and there is a handy little light that turns green when you tune in sufficiently to get a solid reception. ... MoreThis little tabletop radio was a replacement for a compact radio CD player that died after 20 years, kind of unexpectedly and mysteriously. The Tivoli Model One is the one the plays our music all day, every day!

Back in 2000 we wanted a table radio for our dining nook, and another for our father's shop. We bought a Boston Acoustics for our home and a Tivoli Audio for our father. We were ecstatic about our Boston Acoustics sound quality and digital tuning, but we also really admired the Tivoli's sound and beautiful design. Over the years we thoroughly enjoyed the sound and service of our radio, while our father used his to listen to "talk radio," which I thought didn't allow the Tivoli to "do its thing!" Well after 20 years our Boston Acoustics began to sound terrible (I think a number of the capacitors went bad with age), so we decided to replace it. Table radios seemed to have fallen out of favor, so the choices were quite limited. Well after 20 years our Boston Acoustics began to sound terrible (I think a number of the capacitors went bad with age), so we decided to replace it. Table radios seemed to have fallen out of favor, so the choices were quite limited. I thought it would be great if we could stumble upon one of those finds where some store had lost track of an original Boston Acoustics radio, new-in-the-box, and just found it and decided to clear it out. After a long search that came up empty we didn't have any luck, for a Boston Acoustics that is, but we did find a brand new, in-the-box, Tivoli Model One! I immediately bought it and waited excitedly for it to arrive. It came on schedule and was exactly as described, new and untouched. Hurriedly, we set it up and turned it on. The wonderful, full and rich sound that we remembered from Dad's radio poured from the amazing, small speaker. Tivoli Audio designed an excellent radio with the Model One and it sounds simply great. It doesn't have the digital tuning and digital readout of the Boston Acoustics, but that doesn't matter. In fact, the Model one is absolutely beautiful with its real walnut wood case, dark brown tuning and control knobs on a soft-almond colored background. Even the 2 lights (one green and one yellow, to show power on and station strength) are perfect among the rest of the design choices. We have an excellent stereo set up in our living room, which really does sound wonderful in its own right, but on a daily basis the Tivoli Model One is the one the plays our music all day, every day!

WHAT'S NEW IS OLD AGAIN

This radio....wow.....I'm in LOVE. I didn't need a clock radio and I didn't need all the digital LED lights and the presets. I was looking for a radio like I grew up with; a simple dial and volume knob and great sound. The Tivoli Model One BT gives us a little bit of modern with the ability to connect a device to it for bluetooth sound/streaming and also the joy of "tuning in" your favorite radio stations. I've been listening to this little jewel all day on one of my favorite FM stations and the sound is just great; so much out of a little speaker. This thing is built solidly and it seems like it'll stay great for many many years because there's not much that can go wrong with it.
