Tom Ford Lost Cherry Perfume by Tom Ford, This intoxicating, captivating perfume is perfectly suited to cocktail parties, evenings at the theater, and special occasion dinners. You just may want to start going out more for the opportunity to wear this beautiful fragrance. Tom Ford Lost Cherry opens with the dark richness of black cherries, the sweet booziness of cherry liqueur, and a contrasting hint of bitter almond. The heart continues the cherry theme with griotte syrup, a sweet and sour concoction made from Morello cherries. It also contains heady floral scents of jasmine and Turkish rose. A variety of woody notes completes the fragrance. Balsam and cedar are forest-like and green, while sandalwood and vetiver have a drier, earthy scent. Warm, inviting tonka bean is the finishing touch. This fragrance was released in 2018 by Tom Ford through his eponymous design house. The line was founded in 2005, and the first fragrance was released a year later.

I finally got a sample of this after having mixed results smelling it in stores on the rare occasion I’m near a TF boutique/counter. I’m floored! I think this is now my favorite fragrance to date, and I’ve smelled/owned a lot. I think I could literally have it as a one scent collection if I had to—my grail. It’s seriously so delicious and easily a compliment getter, which I’ve already gotten one unsolicited compliment on it. At first, the dry down was a little like Tom Ford Vanille Fatale, which I also own. It’s like they took that scent and made it more gourmand and crowd-pleasing. They’re not entirely redundant, but worth mentioning the similarity. It’s definitely got that Tom Ford signature DNA. I don’t know what it is, but there’s a common denominator in a lot ... They’re not entirely redundant, but worth mentioning the similarity. It’s definitely got that Tom Ford signature DNA. I don’t know what it is, but there’s a common denominator in a lot of TF fragrances. The cherry that it starts with is at 100, and then dials down to maybe 10 by the end of its life. That incredible cherry lasts about 20 minutes to an hour. Then there’s this almond and vanilla that play so well. Those notes can smell cheap sometimes, but they’re exquisitely executed here. It’s middle of the road unisex. I’m a man, and I have no shame wearing it. I’d wear this with a suit to anything confidently. Maybe not an interview (Clive Christian Rock Rose or 1872 for that), but anything else! This has date night written all over it, too. I’ll also wear it in jeans. It’s just a great all-rounder. Seasonally, it’s probably best suited for cooler weather, but I’ll have this on year-round. It’s got a crispness to it that will work in Spring/Summer. Mississippi Summers are blazing, though, so I’ll probably reach for my former favorite Tom Ford, Venetian Bergamot. My wearing is limited, but 12 hours later it’s still detectable about 3 inches from the skin. It performs best through the first 5 hours or so. Could be a little better performance for the projection phase, but I’m almost giving it a pass due to having a masterpiece scent. I got my 100 mL bottle on the way. Got it discounted, but it may be worth full price. A lot more unique than Aventus nowadays, and this can probably garner more compliments. I always judge a fragrance against Aventus, even if they’re nowhere similar. 10.5/10 masterpiece scent. 8/10 projection/sillage. 8.5/10 longevity (wish the cherry note would last a little longer. Even still it’s great). Full bottle worthy!

I love cherry and this is the most beautiful cherry ever in a perfume. The opening is more feminine, but later it becomes real unisex. Nutty, smokey, dark cherry scent. Not very sweet on my skin. A very lovely scent but unfortunately, it does not last long. Becomes a light skin scent. Would have been a perfect date night perfume but sillage and longevity are so poor you have to douse lots of spray for it to last. Delicious smelling dark cherry and nothing very spectacular except maybe if you are going to be intimately close, as this really is almost like an intoxicating cherry bubble gum or a high quality cherry bomb shot that blends too well on my skin, i am tempted to taste it. Sweet and a little bitter, almost like a grown girl becoming a woman, i would use this sparingly and only if i am planning to be intimate as it is pricey for a gourmand which i am not a big fan of. Also because, it is what it is, a liqueur infused cherry. This is a gourmand, sweet, bitter, delicious almondy cherry. It opens with the bitter almond, and then goes sweeter. On my skin the dry out is very good, I keep smelling my wrist all the time with this yummy perfume. I like to layer it with Baccarat Rouge , perfect for a night out or on a date. The almond is a lot more prominent than the cherry which, although I still like, it’s a bit disappointing to not get as much cherry come through when that’s essentially how it’s marketed. Don’t get me wrong - I really enjoy it, I just wish the cherry was heavier, juicier and at the forefront of the fragrance as the name would lead you to imagine. In terms of the longevity, it performs better than I expected after looking at other reviews, but the cherry note is long gone. Like it really is ‘lost’ quite early - it’s there but it fades away into the background as it becomes a sweet almond scent. It has quite a clean, semi-fresh feel to it imo, not what I’d expect from the notes. It settles into a sort of boozy-gourmand. I am tempted to get a full bottle of this because I really do like it, but if you’re looking for a true cherry scent or you’re not keen on almond notes I’d definitely try and sample rather than blind buying because this may not be for you. Can men wear this perfume? Absolutely. If we can wear a Dior Homme line that smells like a woman’s makeup bag, than we can also wear Lost Cherry. From my experience, the girls reactions are fantastic. This is a wonderful sour cherry enriched with almond/marzipan.

It lured you in with sweet flirting but quickly you are in deeper than you thought.Sticking with the name, this "cherry" is not to be lost here, but was quite gone by the time you arrived. It heats up, and doesn't go hyper sweet, and instead veers into a tart cherry being tugged on by the sticky almond note. At the stage is very viscous and sticky, like a trap laid that once it has you, relaxes its grip and lets you swim in its boozy warmth.About 15 minutes in I'm hit by the tonka, and I am all about it. Amaretto and cherries with the richness of tonka. The separation of the notes are more interesting to me here than how they work together. As if the cherry (youthful lust and naivety) is impervious to being pulled down by the heavier notes of the tonka (Sex's emotional ramifications, or you know, just life.) I'll continue reaching to stretch with me. Let's not be naive and act like we know what Tom Ford does with names. Yes its provactive, but it is not call "Losing Cherry" or "Popped Cherry," here it is already gone, but not so far removed from thought. The innocence of its opening speaks to what once was. Its fun, its flirty. It understands its sexiness, knows you are interested, and knows not to give you all its secrets right away. It likes the thought of you lusting after it, and pretends briefly that you are the hunter. Then it spread eagles, I mean swan dives into the lust. You toss a little liquor into the mix of youthful longing (as I imagine happened to most of us) and that cherry is lost. The fragrance gets deeper, it get hot breathier? and closer to the skin. it makes me think of too much lip gloss trapped amidst car sex with the windows up. I can imagine getting in this vehicle afterward and thinking "Did Prince f*ck in here?" Now, I'm not sure what that means, but I'm still fine with driving the car.Relate this to my lack of fragrance experience, but I have nothing else in my Rolodex this smells like. The rose note texture gives you a hint at what's coming with Rose Prick, and the heft and feel of the tonka note puts me in the same space as Chanel Allure Sport Extreme's dry down. BUT, neither of those smell like Lost Cherry, only those small sections, it's just the closest I can get. This date started with a cherry vanilla slushie before prom, gets spiked with grenadine and amaretto about halfway through "Best Friends Girl," by The Cars, and ends "spilled" on a fur rug at the after party in your rich friends parents guest room. Yes, this all happens in high school, but like, TV high school where all the actors are mid 20s.All that said, I love this fragrance. It is perfectly unisex and all innuendo aside, is lovely from top to bottom. Ok. Still a little innuendo.

Today I am thrilled to be reviewing another Tom Ford fragrance - this time the insatiable gourmand Lost Cherry eau de parfum! This sample came to me in a very generously sized 2 mL glass spray vial, providing me ample product to fully appreciate all the qualities of this fragrance. This is described as a warm spicy sweet gourmand perfume. Gourmands are my favorite type of scent as I have come to find out on my journey of perfume reviewing. Still, I was still unsure if I would love this product as I mostly lean away from the warmer and spicier scents. Spraying this on my arm immediately conjured up the image of a candied cherry delicately perched atop the whipped cream of a diner style milkshake. Yes, this is the olfactory equivalent of the cherry on top - though in this case, the cherry is the main focus, the starring role. This insatiable olfactory flavor is further enhanced by the clean and beguiling notes of Jasmine Sambac and Turkish Rose, both creating a floral heart that counterbalances the indulgent sweetness of the dripping black cherry and bitter almond candy gloss. Like the first bite into a red candied apple, this fragrance takes your olfactory senses by storm with an implosion of sticky, guilty sweetness. The perfume has this decadent weight to it that feels as though you can practically taste the delicious red ripeness of the plump cherry as you dapple in a steam of rose petals. The full sized fragrance comes housed within the iconic Tom Ford perfume bottle, complete with a cherry blossom pink label inviting your nose to bite into the scent. Currently priced at $250 per ounce, I am extremely grateful to be getting more than just a few sprays out of this sample. Just heavenly!
Where I am, it is freezing cold and dry right now. When I tested Lost Cherry for the first time, it was autumn, so it was mild and humid outside, and this turned very almond-heavy and balsamic super quickly. The cherry fruitiness was gone in an instant and the almondy sweetness was bothersome. Today, however, in this harsh cold, the cherry fruitiness and booziness stay on my skin for a long time and project like crazy. It isn't the most sophisticated and elegant scent (in fact, it is quite juvenile and girly), but I love the way this cherry scent dries down on me right now. It's boozy, fruity, slightly sweet, and a touch powdery from the tonka and almond. Now, it isn't the most natural cherry and it isn't that pulpy and juicy, but I do get cherries in the sense that ... Now, it isn't the most natural cherry and it isn't that pulpy and juicy, but I do get cherries in the sense that I identify this cherry as an Ice-cream cherry (like the cherry flavor ice-cream from Baskin Robbins). Is it polarizing? Yes. Is it expensive? Hell yes. Is it worth it? Depends, but I think it totally is. Do people around you compliment you? Damn, they do. Is it one of TF's bests? Hmmm, no. I still think some others from TF are more iconic and suit the brand image better (like Oud Wood or Noir de Noir) but it does match the overall theme of TF frags in that Lost Cherry is very bold and head-turning. 9/10 for me.
When I received this VoxBox, which I noticed was discretely covered with a very opaque plastic sheath this time - good looking out Influenster (hopefully more made their destinations!) - I made a point to open it where my mom could see because she was on the phone with the cable/internet company and I thought (and I was right) that the name of the perfume would make her laugh out loud. Mooooooving along to, let's call this the heart or body of the fragrance review, shall we? (get it?! Ha, like the heart notes or body of a fragrance! Punny! Ha!) I am not a Summer person. I start dreading Summer right about January 1st anymore, and I start asking "is it Autumn yet" after April 1st. Summertime is perhaps when I experience seasonal affective disorder more than any other time of year because I do not fare well in heat or brightness, they're both horrible for my migraines (which don't need any assistance!). And while it is true that many fragrances can also be migraine triggers, Lost Cherry is not on that list, thankfully. In fact, when I have been feeling low, I've had this *freaking incredible and uplifting perfume to awaken my senses and spirit!* No joke. (I mean, it hasn't displaced Black Orchid or anything, that one goes up to 11, but if I could I'd give this a 5.01 out of 5.) Lost Cherry is cozy, warm, and - while decadent - still approachable. I almost can't get enough of it! I fell asleep the other night wearing clothes I had sprayed it onto and smelled it *in my dreams.* Here's what I told a Facebook/Influenster acquaintance who also pursues olfactory bliss: I was really nervous after the disappointment with Soleil Brulant. I had high hopes for SB because of that and because of the listed fragrance notes, but it was too much for me, like burning sugar or something. When I saw I would be getting Lost Cherry I was excited, but kind of worried at the same time. I was thinking "what if it smells the way Cherry Sucrets taste?! I don't want to write another unhappy review!" Lost Cherry is definitely more gentle on the senses than lots of other fragrances. Like some have a harsher, or brighter, or greener/cleaner tanginess to them, not unpleasant per se, though they can be more or less pleasant. Lost Cherry, I would say, is like a perfectly ripened cherry - it is smooth and round (no sharpness or edges), juicy plump complexity of black cherry, liqueur, almond, Turkish rose, jasmine sambac, and Tonka bean creaminess. Smelling the bottle, before ever spraying at all, the cherry was *almost* not even there. (I always spray into the air before spraying onto myself/my skin, sometimes waiting a day to spray myself.) Spritzing the fragrance into the air, the florals were more potent but not cloying so, as was the cherry but still I felt it didn't try to thrust itself forward; the whole thing felt very cohesive. The only times I am even momentarily aware of the cherry taking the lead before the florals and then the softening almond and Tonka bean catch up is when spraying directly onto my skin hair, which is probably something to do with the chemical reaction of the perfume and my skin.
This is a stunning perfume. I absolutely hate the price (no perfume should cost this much) but I do love the perfume itself. I normally don't like cherry scents, for a little background on the daily I wear either libre or my way. I tried this on a whim while having a girls day out and couldn't get it out of my head all week. I eventually started looking for dupes for it because I wanted to see if there was another cherry related scent that would catch my attention the way this did (for hopefully less $$$). Nothing did.The initial spray is like a spritz of tart cherry juice and throughout the day the perfume evolves, which is what I find the most impressive about this scent. Nothing did.The initial spray is like a spritz of tart cherry juice and throughout the day the perfume evolves, which is what I find the most impressive about this scent. It starts as this bitter tart cherry/almond, mellows out into this beautiful jasmine/rose scent with a softer cherry scent, and finally by the end of the day this warm unisex vanilla bean/almond/and cinnamon scent lingers. It's hard to find a perfume that goes through the evolution of top, middle, and base notes throughout the day. A lot of cherry perfumes I tired after this just stayed very strong cherry. In addition to it's impressive evolution it lasts, I spray it on in the morning and still get compliments at the end of the day. It's a very sensual perfume, definitely a more mature scent. I told myself if I got it I'd use it sparingly as my special occasions perfume but it's definitely replaced my normal daily scents. I truly believe this is a special perfume and could understand a bottle costing around 100 dollars, but I do not think 200+ is a price they should be charging. I only ever buy beauty products this pricey when I truly believe they are worth it (I used a small sample bottle over a week to make sure I couldn't live without it) and in the end I needed this to be apart of my daily routine. It ruined my other perfumes for me.

Imagine forbidden fruit: intoxicating, exotic, sultry, and oh-so-subtlety sweet. Pamper yourself with this luscious fragrance that just attracts everyone around you with its insatiable blend of fruity and floral. I received this product complimentary from influenster and Tom Ford in exchange for my honest opinion. With the perfect balance of bitter and sweet, the fragrance envelopes you with the scent of fruity black cherry, floral roses with jasmines, and rich liqueur. A touch of almond and tonka bean deepens the scent and adds complexity. As the scent dries, the fruitiness is met with warmth, vanilla, and a hint of spice. Definitely one of the most full-bodied and unique fragrances I have ever smelled. It's bold, empowering, and exhilarating. It's perfect for ... I was fortunate enough (and almost in tears) to receive this for free in exchange for my honest review.I was always curious about this scent and knew about all of the "hub bub" out there. Being copied and reviewed and discussed like crazy! For me this scent is pretty much what I expected it to be, it's like a late night boozy cherry that is dark and tart. I picture a piano bar in the city with a view and dark bourbon drinks. This is a smooth dark cherry scent and I'm getting almond and liquor. You should wear all black with just a red lip for this one! This is way too sexy for a day in the park. Although, why not be sexy anytime of the day? The longevity is fine on my skin! It disturbs the senses, keeps them focused on this changing developing scent as the day goes on. This isn't a causal scent in any way. I'm happy to have this one and I'm excited to disturb some people's senses and confuse them as they wonder what is that unique scent trail wafting around?
