Oud Minérale is a striking contrast of earth and ocean, where the richness of oud meets the invigorating freshness of marine elements. The fragrance opens with a sharp twist of pink peppercorn, bringing a clean brightness that cuts through the deep, woody undertones. This energising top note introduces a scent that is both bold and refreshing. Fir balsam and ambergris follow, merging forest-like depth with a salty, mineral edge that evokes the essence of coastal air. These notes create a unique interplay of warmth and coolness, grounding the composition in both land and sea. The scent moves fluidly between earthy richness and oceanic clarity, making it truly multifaceted. As it dries down, a smoky blend of woods wraps around smooth, sensual musks, leaving a lingering trail that clings to the skin. This final layer enhances the contrast at the heart of the fragrance—a luxurious fusion of dark oud and crisp marine freshness. Oud Minérale is a bold exploration of texture, temperature, and tone.

I was sent this product by Influenster and Tom Ford in exchange for my honest review! Tom Ford Oud Minerale is a unique summertime fragrance with really good longevity for a fragrance of this profile. Typically with summer “freshies” you don’t really expect tremendous performance or longevity. I never smelled Oud Minerale when it was in production in 2017 before it was discontinued in 2020 I believe?? I have no idea why this was discontinued, but I can say I am glad it’s coming back to production because I actually really enjoy this scent. I never smelled Oud Minerale when it was in production in 2017 before it was discontinued in 2020 I believe?? I have no idea why this was discontinued, but I can say I am glad it’s coming back to production because I actually really enjoy this scent. Off the top you get a very sharp, crisp, oceanic/sea salty vibe in the opening. To me the fragrance is mostly linear throughout, but not in a negative way. I know some people are scared, or immediately rule something out if it has Oud in the name, or as a listed note, but this is a very clean, refined, woody Oud, and if it wasn’t in the name, I promise that most people wouldn’t smell this and say, “oh, that definitely has Oud in it”. I have to say that I wasn’t completely sold on Oud Minerale at first sniff. I wasn’t put off by it, and I didn’t dislike it by any means. I just wasn’t sure if it was something for me, or if it was something I could see myself reaching for. However, I must say that after several times wearing it, thanks to the multiple sample vials, it is DEFINITELY something I could see myself reaching for on hot summer days here in Houston. For an aquatic type fragrance with prominent woody facets I believe this will be a FANTASTIC warm weather scent, however, I believe it could be worn year round. I have already mentioned this, but it is worth repeating; this is a VERY unique fragrance for this category of perfumes. One of the major knocks people have for warm weather scents is that they can get rather repetitive or boring, because they are run of the mill aquatic, fresh, woodsy, cookie cutter type fragrances, and there is a time and place for fragrances like that. Once you get beyond a certain price point though you do start to expect a little more out of the fragrances you are purchasing, and I must say that Tom Ford’s Oud Minerale delivers across the board for me. Scent Profile: 8.5/10 A unique, original, take on a warm weather “freshie” scent even though off my skin it does seem pretty linear, but I really enjoy it, so I do not count that as a negative like it might be for some other fragrances Longevity: 9/10 ESPECIALLY considering the type of fragrance it is. It isn’t one of the thick, heavy, gourmands, that typically last much longer than “freshies” and aquatic type scents. Projection: 6.5/10 It doesn’t push off of MY skin like crazy, but it still got noticed by multiple people, and all of these categories can change DRASTICALLY sometimes depending on the skin chemistry of the person wearing the fragrance; keep that in mind. Sillage: 8/10 I was told that it smells even better in the air than up very close like you would be smelling it off of your own wrist or something. Overall: 8.5/10 It has definitely been added to my ever growing wishlist of fragrances. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this if you are looking for a warm weather scent that isn’t your run of the mill, cookie cutter (citrus opening/woody base), scent profile.

It's like being stuck in a never-ending echo chamber of wood and spice, with no escape. Now, I understand that oud enthusiasts might appreciate the unbridled intensity, but for me, it's a scent that feels more like a challenge than a pleasure. Wearing Oud Minéral is like trying to tame a wild stallion - admirable, but not exactly enjoyable. In conclusion, while Tom Ford's Oud Minéral is undoubtedly well-crafted, it's a fragrance that, unfortunately, doesn't resonate with my personal tastes. The oud is simply too overbearing, making it a scent I can't fully embrace. Ah, the subjectivity of perfume! However there are many great fragrances under the Tom ford house, this one in particular is just not for me.

Some sites also state that the major note you should smells is marine type notes but I definitely couldn’t smell that. I’ve used and tried some colognes that have stronger marine or aqua note to it. This product is said to be unisex but to me and my family it feels more of a masculine fragrance so it’s more polarizing than most of the standard fragrances of competing companies. The only reason I gave it these many stars and not full 5 is because I’m not a huge fan of this fragrance especially once you’ve had it on your clothes for a while. After about 4-5 hrs the “cardboardy” fragrance is quite intense which is like a bad aftertaste of a good food item you had. Overall, personally, this is for slightly younger audience and not a mature fragrance for someone in 50s or above.

This fragrance transports me to the Pacific Northwest, where the temperate rainforests meet the untamed Pacific Ocean. I’m walking along a rocky outcropping at the forest’s edge. Through hazy clouds, the sun casts a gentle glow. A fine mist surrounds me, carried along from crashing waves by the breeze as I walk on a carpet of dampened moss. The unmistakable scent of saltwater accompanies the mist; evoking memories of seaside adventures and the boundless expanse of the ocean. Looking towards the forest, a profound silence contrasts the ocean’s dull roar. As the sun dips below the horizon, I venture deeper into the woods, still catching glimpses of the sparkling drops of water spraying onto the rocks. One could spend days in this enchanting landscape, where every moment allows us to discover more of its endless charm.

INTOXICATING: Best scent I've ever worn
9 August 2024

I wear TF fragrances almost exclusively. Back in the Spring, I was at the mall and remembered this had just launched in some stores. Sephora didn't have it yet, so I went to Dillard's and the rep sprayed my wrist. I was not a fan at first. I pulled my hoodie sleeve back down and told my boyfriend after we walked away, "I don't like it."That evening, we were laying in bed and it was still strong enough that I caught a whiff of it. I immediately smelled my wrist and thought "Wow. That's incredible." I had hung my hoodie back in the closet when we came in. I wore it again a few days later and the scent had infused itself onto the sleeve. I caught myself bringing my wrist to my nose all day long. I've worn it almost daily all summer and get more compliments on this scent alone than any time I've worn Oud Wood or Ombre Leather or layered the two.One of my coworkers, who can always tell when I'm trying out a new scent, commented immediately. A week later, he bought himself a bottle for his birthday. I bought a bottle for a friend as a graduation gift for completing his Master's Degree. He text messaged me a few days later saying how amazed he was with how good it smelled. It does have a very metallic undertone at first, and heavy - but once it settles, there's nothing that compares. It's the best thing I've ever smelt.

Review of the Tom Ford Oud Minerale Fragrance
5 March 2024

The Oud Minerale is a warm, spicy scent from the House of Tom Ford. It has notes of salty seaweed, Oud blend, and spicy Ambergris accord. I have heard a lot about the Tom Ford fragrances as he is known for his unisex fragrances, and I even have smelled some fragrances that I enjoyed from his line. I have never tried an Oud fragrance, so I was curious on my thoughts of this fragrance. I like fragrances that have a strong performance throughout the day and aren’t too overbearing for everyday or work wear. To test the performance and longevity of this fragrance, I sprayed this fragrance on my wrist. I sprayed it on skin at around 1:00pm, and I can still smell it on my skin even at 7pm. I don’t believe that this would be an everyday scent, but I do believe that this could be a perfect scent for a fancy outing, such as a date night or convention/conference. This scent reminds me of a sophisticated male with a luxurious tuxedo. All in all, I really enjoy this fragrance from the House of Tom Ford called Oud Minerale. I think it is a pleasant perfume for someone that enjoys strong oud, musk and ambergris fragrances. I think the oud and ambergris notes are blended beautifully in this fragrance, and I believe that this perfume would be best suited for males. I would highly recommend this fragrance to my male family members and friends.

Unique, Classy, and Crisp Aquatic Woodsy Scent!

I was sent this product by Influenster and Tom Ford in exchange for my honest review.Tom Ford Oud Minerale is a unique summertime fragrance with really good longevity for a fragrance of this profile. Typically with summer “freshies” you don’t really expect tremendous performance or longevity.Off the top you get a very sharp, crisp, oceanic/sea salty vibe in the opening. To me the fragrance is mostly linear throughout, but not in a negative way.For an aquatic type fragrance with prominent woody facets I believe this will be a FANTASTIC warm weather scent, however, I believe it could be worn year round. One of the major knocks people have for warm weather scents is that they can get rather repetitive or boring, because they are run of the mill aquatic, fresh, ... MoreI was sent this product by Influenster and Tom Ford in exchange for my honest review.Tom Ford Oud Minerale is a unique summertime fragrance with really good longevity for a fragrance of this profile. One of the major knocks people have for warm weather scents is that they can get rather repetitive or boring, because they are run of the mill aquatic, fresh, woodsy, cookie cutter type fragrances. Once you get beyond a certain price point you do start to expect a little more out of the fragrances you are purchasing, and I must say that Tom Ford’s Oud Minerale delivers across the board for me.Scent Profile: 8.5/10A unique, original, take on a warm weather “freshie” scent even though off my skin it does seem pretty linear, I do not count that as a negative like it might be for some other fragrancesALL OF THESE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES CAN CHANGE DRASTICALLY DEPENDING ON THE SKIN CHEMISTRY OF THE PERSON WEARING THE FRAGRANCE. PLEASE KEEP THAT IN MIND!Longevity: 9/10AWESOME! ESPECIALLY considering the type of fragrance it is. It isn’t a thick, heavy, gourmand, that would typically last much longer than “freshies” and aquatic type scents.Projection: 6.5/10It doesn’t push off of MY skin like crazy, but it still got noticed by multiple people.Sillage: 8/10I was told that it smells even better in the air than up closeOverall: 8.5/10It has definitely been added to my ever growing wishlist of fragrances.

one word.... WOW

I am a huge fan of the Tom Ford perfumes, my personal favorites being Lost Cherry and Soleil Blanc, so I was extremely excited to see this TF box in my mailbox! I have been trying to find a TF men's cologne for my fiancé and this might just be the ONE!The Scent:This EDP scent has been described as "[merging] rich oud notes with refreshing oceanic minerality. A surge of smoky woods embraces sensual, skin-gripping musks for a contrasting fusion of elements. The warmth of oud is spiked with a wave of fresh pink peppercorn as fir balsam and ambergris balance earthy and marine inflections." - I would definitely agree, this cologne has the perfect mixture of a musky, smoky and woody scent with the aquatic scents of salty seaweed and pink pepper. The pink pepper is very noticeable but not overpowering and I don't get the fir balsam scent from it.Time of Year Wear:This feels like a perfect summer scent but also feel it can definitely be worn year round as well.Who Can Wear:I've seen this EDP has been labeled unisex and I somewhat agree but think this leans more towards a men's cologne as it is a very masculine scents. This scent won't be for everyone but I definitely recommend it for those who like similar scents.**I received sample products to test and review honestly.
