If you like the scent of cold salty ocean-side pier repeatedly sprayed with sea water. Completely devoid of sweetness. It's arid, like salty-dry air near the ocean on low-humidity day, and rather chilling and cold. Very loud and strong, and lasts well over 12 hours on skin - beastly performer! Even when you think the top has settled down and it's not as loud, it comes back to you over and over again, for many hours, and people around you will definitely notice this one many hours after application. I've been told, after 4-5 hours of spraying it on, that it's very strong (I could definitely smell it myself, but it didn't "feel" that strong to me, after being subjected to it for a few hours already). But thankfully it's not cloying. There is a base of woodiness that supports the whole composition. I wouldn't necessarily think I'm smelling oud, but the woods are certainly not run-of-the-mill by any stretch. I also get the pepper that adds to an overall user-friendliness to this otherwise left field offering. Oud Minérale is on one hand not what I expected, but on the other hand - it is pretty true to its name - the mineral portion definitely comes through strongly, especially if you sniff the sprayed area up-close, just don't expect a whole lot of oud. Overall, I'm impressed with this offering. It is not refreshing per se, but it is surprisingly clean in a non-mainstream way. It is truly marine without being aquatic... that is, there is no trace of the headache inducing 1990's aquatics that have become so cliche and cheap-smelling. I need to wear this a bit more to see if I can pick up on some more depth, but on first wearing, i'm impressed and pleased with this offering.

The scent is rather strong, given that it’s oud. Does give a very masculine musk on the skin. With the over powering note of marine. A little goes a long way, but keep in mind due to the intensity it might cause a headache for the user if more than needed is applied. The packaging is beautiful and very sleek, definitely a great look to a collection.
I don't get this, or the reviews on this at all. Very off-putting, actually had to wash this one off. Smells like plastic, or the production floor of a cheap toy or shoe manufacturing plant. Ever drink half of a water bottle, and forget it inside your car for a few days during the summer? Take the lid off and get hit with that weird smell? That's this. Yuck!

Tom Ford is an amazing house when it comes to unique fragrances - Oud Minérale is no different. The opening is a mix of peppery, aquatic, mineralic, and earthy. The Oud is done fabulously and is not too overbearing. My only gripe with this fragrance is that the animalicness is a little too much - it is almost just a tad-bit too dirty for me. Overall this is a solid fragrance in my opinion!
Got a sample of this from Bloomingdale’s at first I was very skeptical. Seaweed is not a note I enjoy in fragrance, after owning B. N09 Wall Street which is one of the worst scents I’ve put my nose to. TF has a much more subtle approach to it however, with a smoky, oceanic/mineral scent. It’s a rather dressed up scent that I feel would work well in a more intimate setting. Unsure if full bottle worthy but definitely a unique scent.
Man. I love this fragrance. The opening can be a bit harsh for some but for me that only lasts for a minute. The dry down on this one is dark, ocean, salty, amber. It's definitely not your sun screen beachy scent. Honestly, I could wear this everyday and only be mad about depleting the bottle. I would grab a sample first, the 2017 release can be quite pricey and I've not been able to get my hands on the 2023 release yet.
