I do not look like an oily disco ball. The flecks are very very small and just look absolutely gorgeous on bronzed skin. The oil soaks in so beautifully, leaving no oily sheen, just gorgeous tiny flecks of shimmer behind. I will never not have this in my possession.

A little goes a LONG WAY!!!

Prior to receiving this complimentary Soleil Brûlant Shimmering Body Oil from Tom Ford & Influenster I was not aware of the brand, so when I opened my VoxBox to find a nicely packaged white box with imprints of metallic gold lettering and outline I immediately got the impression that it's contents was not that of something made cheaply. As I pulled out the bottle it impressed me more as it was a thick solid glass that was full of a mixture of clear liquid and gold sparkles. I had assumed as I was taking the cap off the bottle that it would be a wide mouth opening and the application process would be done in a manner much like a man would put on his cologne; pouring a small amount into the hand and distributing it on the body in preferred areas. I was happy to find that my assumptions were incorrect and that it had a pump style application process. I expected it to spray out one direct spray pattern, but again was surprised and happy to find that it was more of a mist style allowing for the application to reach a wider area of the skin which in my opinion is perfect for this product. Upon applying the product to my neck and chest area, as well as my arms and shoulders, I found myself using the spray pump 4-5x to get a fair and even amount of product to cover those preferred areas. In my opinion the mist is too quick, and doesn't distribute a wide enough area to cover my neck & chest area, or my complete arm as it would if it were the long extended style misting that some spray bottles have. I would prefer the long slow mist, rather than the short quick mist this product/bottle has to avoid having to rub the product to assist in distributing it to a larger area (i.e., my whole arm). This minor factor is nothing when comparing the product as its main purpose, of giving that shimmering effect and leaving behind a pleasant smell. It's obvious that it's a mixture of fragrance, oil and glitter (very fine glitter), because when you spray it on you can immediately see the shine that an oil would give when applied to the skin, and with the added glitter; after it is blended into the area of application, it leaves a subtle gleam to the skin's surface. In my experience, the scent is a very strong one when first applied and can be to some a little too much; and unpleasant, but it fades nicely as it is blended and has time to absorb into the skin. I apply before getting dressed and before doing my makeup to avoid spraying the oils onto my clothing and it also allows for time to absorb properly so my final result is a subtle glow of pleasantness. I received this product for free from influenster and Tom Ford in exchange for my honest review.I absolutely LOVE TOM FORD!! Their products are just so amazing and this body oil did not disappoint!! First off the packaging is just gorgeous the glass bottle is so aesthetic and I love being able to see the beautiful gold oil inside! I thought the nozzle was going to be like a serum distributor but it's a spray nozzle and I love it. I love scents that have Amber, honey,and orange blossom and this is heavy on the Amber and honey. After wearing this shimmer for a while, I have no choice but to purchase the perfume now just so that I can layer it to get a longer wear out of it. On my skin alone the shimmering oil lasts about 4 hours. I could wear this scent all year round, but typically I only wear shimmers three seasons out of the four. Now don't get me wrong if I have a special night out in the winter time, showing a bit of skin, I will definitely wear this shimmering body oil. Light and Lovely Summer Scent for Sensitive Noses

HELLO,I have never purchased TF fragrance/products before as I'm a little sensitive to smells and although the perfumes are very nice and smell great on others from a distance they are too strong for me to wear on myself. I was at Sephora recently and they had the mini shimmer bottles by the cash register and I purchased it as it smelled very lovely and light. I just wanted to say that I love love loved it and will probably be repurchasing again in future. I wish TF made the oils with and without shimmer or even body lotions for us sensitive nosed folks. I find despite it being a light sent I do get quite a few hours of lasting power which is great.

This warm amber smells like an Oud, only muted, which suits me perfectly as I adore the romantic scent of this one (Soliel Brulant), without it being strong like oud. The body oil hydrates the skin while the gold flecks, which are invisible to the naked eye once you rub it in, blurs the look of my lines on my décolletage, neck, and top of hands. I also spray it into my hands and rub it together and then wipe down my scarf, jacket, and other clothing, it lasted ten days on my scarf, this is a lasting body oil that can double as a perfume if used as I explained. This body oil isn't just for legs and arms, I use in on my décolletage and tops of hands too. The gold flecks in the oil are there for blurring purposes, they are not seen by the naked eye. There is the perfect amount of balance of shimmer and oil it's subtle and elegant and it gives you the perfect glow without looking like a disco ball. The texture is viscous and it's best to use after you shower for better application. You get a lot of product and don't need very much. Even though For me the price is not a problem given the fact that if you love a product it's worth it. Something I would improve is the pump and have it be optional.
