We were given the Tommee Tippee PPSU Bottle to review and I was initially hesitant as my baby had gone through a bout of bottle refusal, and never tried Tommee Tippee bottles before. Surprisingly baby took it easily, first go, which was a relief! The flow is just right - not too fast or slow, plus the soft teat is wider at the base, so it’s much easier to handwash than my other bottles. Overall it’s a nice bottle that I’ll keep using. The only drawback is its wide neck isn’t compatible with my Spectra pump.

Unfortunately I have premature babies who struggled to breastfeed and take a bottle. Originally NG tube fed. Neither of our twins were able to effectively use this bottle.The bottle itself is quite durable and I was quite impressed. But the teat itself just didn’t work for either of our twins unfortunately. They were able to get the hang of it and needed to try a few different varieties before we found the one for them.

We have used these bottles for our eldest son and current baby. Both had not had any issues taking these teats, even though they are breastfed and not regular bottle drinkers. We have also never experienced any issues with them gulping air.They are my favourite bottles as I like that I can just stick my hand n the neck to wash them if I don't have a bottle brush at hand.However I personally don't see the point of these tiny new born bottles that the baby outgrows quickly.

I am a huge Tommee Tippee supporter! My both children have all used the Closure to Nature bottles, and they all adored them. They come in a variety of shapes and hues, the teats can be ordered in any flow you require, there are a number of accessories you can purchase to make life easier, they're simple to clean, and the teats are soft and simple for newborns to use. I suggest these bottles to all newborn parents.
We used tommee tippee bottles with expressed breast milk when my son was a newborn and he took to them really well. A peek of the wider bottle means its easier to clean. However, after 6 months of being exclusively breast fed (after our rocky start to breastfeeding) my son didn't take to the bottle including tommee tipppee closer to nature. But he definitely took to it as a newborn and would likely have remained with these bottles if we used them more frequently throughout. The 0+ teat for him to use now is too slow a flow as he is 8.5 months old.
I have been a tommee tippee fan for 4 years now with my kids. I love the shape of these bottles and they are fantastic for newborns.They only come with the slow flow teat so I purchased the high flow as that is the stage we are on at the moment (I wish you could get it in a bundle with the different teats)Its more suited to newborns due to the size, you would need a larger one as they get olderThe material though, fantastic. It is so durable and lightweight. Reduces any stains and doesn't matter if it gets dropped!
We love the Tommee Tippee brand! We have been using these bottles for baby since she was 2 days old to supplement with ebm. The measurements are easy to read as well as putting the bottle together. Baby had no issue switching from these bottles and breast in between feeds. Our whole range of tommee tippee have continuously been washed and put through the steriliser over the last 5 month. These probably have withheld a little better than the normal range as the other are getting a little discoloured and plastic looks a bit milky.
I believe this bottle is best for a newborn and my baby is 9.5 months old, but here is what I found when trialling it in a bub box….My bub is exclusively breastfed so I was only able to try this bottle with a little water in it. I’ve had difficulty getting my bub to drink water but he seemed at least interested in this bottle. He may have had a small amount from it - it was hard to tell. He didn’t have any difficulty holding it which is a plus for the bottle. He tends to chew on bottle teats/ spouts as he is teething like crazy. My Bub was BF from day one, without any issues. At 6 weeks I started pumping so husband could feed EBM. This bottle was the perfect size, heats up well in hot water, perfect shape teet for our girl and cleans so easily. She took the bottle first go and we’ve had so issues since. Highly recommend trying for a newborn!
The Tommee Tippee PPSU closet to nature bottle is a great bottle to use when breast feeding. My baby is mostly breastfed but I express enough milk through out the day to give my baby a breast milk top up before bed each night. I use the Tommee tippee closer to nature bottle & my baby has never developed a bottle preference. She moves quiet happily between bottle & breast with nil concerns. Easy to clean & dry. My bub is almost 4 months & using the slow flow teat with no problems. I will look to try the medium flow soon. Can recommend tommee tippee bottles for mix feeding mums as the shape of the teat is similar to breast, reducing chance of bottle preference.
