We did not register for this pail, but was given to us as a gift. We should have taken it back for an exchange, but decided to use it...worst mistake. We have twins and fill up the entire pail every day. The pail is short for one thing, but the bags are much narrower than the pail itself so there is a lot of unused space due to the design of the bag. The worst part is to put the diaper into the pail you have to push it through the trap into the bag. You literally shove your hand down through the trap into the other dirty diapers in the bag...very sanitary right! It's gross! When the pail starts to become full you can feel the contents of the other diapers squish around while you shove the new diaper in all the way so the trap can close. We threw it in the trash after a week. It's a very poor and gross design.

Bag Refills are more expensive than genie, you have to push dirty diaper by hand through pail and when you have to remove the bag you have to take off lid and put it all together again. Ultimately i had to go with Diaper Geenie complete due to the fact that bag refills are online order only and it was a huge hassle to have to empty this bucket which got full way too quickly. Didn't contain the smell any better than a trash can with a lid. Waste of money as i couldn't return it due to it being a online only pail. Do yourself a favor and don't make my mistake. Go with Diaper Geenie a more recognized brand of diaper pails

Its well packaged and the refill kit works. Sadly the plastic doesnt twist properly, presumably as it isnt supple enough for the twisting to pull more plastic out of the cassette, therefore it just spins round and round. A shame as it is much cheaper than the refill cassettes and reduces waste.

Please ignore first review. Aldi themselves sell the refills, I’m stocking up on them again from here and buying online. The bin is really handy, our baby is into size 3 nappies now so it holds less actual nappies than the size 1’s which is the average amount they give you on the information about it, but that’s to be expected as they’re bigger. The first reviewer has obviously not even looked on the Aldi website never mind their claims of searching the internet!
I ordered this without realising that Tommiee Tippee made two different models of nappy bins and this particular cassette is not compatible with the model I have. Not having used it, I cannot comment on quality. When ordering, there is no mention of making sure it fits the right model.
I have an older dog who needs to wear panties & belly bands. The little dog is only 4.8 lbs. so the belly bands and panties are small. Because of that I do not want to wash them until I have a bunch of them so this was the perfect solution to storing them until I had enough to wash. The cassettes which hold the bags are good but too expensive and not enough in one cassette to justify buying them so I just use tall waste baskets white liners which work just as well and are not that expensive. This keeps the guest bathroom always looking good as I do not have to wash and hang each items when it was soiled as I used to do and eliminated a urine odor because of that. It's so much easier and better to wait until I have a full load and put them in the washer and with ... MoreI have an older dog who needs to wear panties & belly bands. I got these as they were such a good price but they didn't fit my tomee tippee sangenic nappy bin. The disc fits In the hole but it must be too small as nothing happens when you rotate the handle to twist the nappy sack. So it's not doing what its supposed to to. I have just been ripping the sacks myself and knotting it after each one but this is very wasteful as it's using much more of the sack than it would so you're getting through it quicker also I'm not sure if it is triple layered to get rid of the pongs like the original ones are.
Can't mind where I got it from but I've had it two weeks and the only thing it's good for is stopping the smell (until you open the "trap door" which you have to push the nappy in!) So my hand always has to go in the bin . Box says hold up to 180 nappies, yeah your lucky to fit ten! I have to constantly open the lid and snip the bag, tie the bag and then tie the bit that was cut to "create" a new bag.Honestly, you get what you pay for, this is cheap and nasty. Go for the sentence tec from Tommy tippee or the angel care, they twist and wrap as the nappies go in, they have a different shaped odour blocker so no more getting your hand caught in nappy bins and pulling it out all dirty (so much for hygenic!)
I like the small size and look of the pail. It doesn’t look like a diaper pail, it just looks like a garbage pail. We are using it for my elderly mother, it sits next to the toilet, in the bathroom. We didn’t want a pail with a presser foot opening. This one just opens from the top, which is kinda hard to open. I wish it had a spring function, where if you press down on the lid it would pop open.
I've been meaning to get one of these for a while since the little one was born. It is a good size bin, the cartridge system is easy to use and disposing of the nappies is easy enough but they could make it better by making it foot operated somehow as it can be a bit difficult pushing the nappy through. Other than that its good can't fault it.
