I bought these shoes a few weeks ago and they’re super comfortable. I’d probably suggest a half size larger than you’d normally buy your shoes if you don’t want to wait through the period of them breaking in (my toes weren’t having it). The width is just perfect though.

My new Toms canvas shoes were a bit roomier than I remember my last pair of 8s being, but they are working out fine. I order at least 2 pairs of Toms canvas shoes each year, always replacing my favorite colors, like black and red, and experimenting with new colors. I really love this shoe, as it goes perfectly with summer dresses, shorts, jeans, anything. They are very comfortable and cute - I am often asked what kind of shoe they are and where I got them. I also like the "buy a pair and donate a pair" philosophy of Toms.

So I do keep coming back. However, they aren't perfect and my persistent gripe is with the sizing. These are not made for people with slender or narrow feet. I typically wear a men's size 11 in sneakers and a size 10 in dress shoes or boots. For Tom's alpargatas, from a length perspective and in the toe box area, the 10.5s are spot on for me. However, the 'waist' of the 10.5s are far too roomy leaving extra space around the sides of my feet below the ankles and a feeling that the shoes might slip off when walking. I just wish that Tom's would make their shoes compatible with those of us who don't have stubby, Hobbit feet. It's not a problem that is unique to Tom's by any means but it is a problem nonetheless. To my slim-footed brethren, you have been warned!
I have bought Toms for years and they have always been fine. This pair worn within 5 minutes has skinned the back of my foot. This has never happened before. Have you changed your manufacturing.
I've been buying this specific model of Toms for years now because the sole they USED TO have was perfect for the dance floor, and they're light, durable, and fashionable, these last are things traditional dance shoes aren't. They had just the right amount of slip so I didn't twist my ankle when turning or sliding while dancing. When mine wore out, I'd go to the website and reorder another 2 pairs. Now they come with a rubber sole that is far too grippy to use while dancing. I searched for a different model on their website that has the old soles but I couldn't find anything.
I loved the warm grey color. Loved the canvas fabric. But the shoes over all are floppy big. The soles look the same size as previous Toms Alpargatas that I've loved but they are way wider and feel longer. I've always ordered on line so I don't know if it's a fluke or if it's a new thing which means I won't be buying Tom's Alpargatas anymore. I have to find some in a store to try on before I buy.
The white Toms slip ons are so incredibly comfortable, simple and clean that I wear them everyday around the house, for bike riding, to the beach and often in place of slippers. They fit so well and are so well designed that depending on the weather, I wear them with or without socks, with shorts, long pants and especially with my sweatpants that have become my staple during the pandemic. I have several pairs in different colors but the white are my go to everyday shoe.
I live in my Toms every summer, and wear them into holes before I can bear to throw them away. I need at least three pairs so the colours can match everything. They are perfect for warm weather and last and last.
