I bought this for my Mother as it said it was machine washable. It doesn't clump when washed (like so called washable woollen quilts). Very happy with the purchase and will actually be buying another one as a spare for Mum.

Soft and snuggly, maybe, but also slippery and slide-y. Often ends up on the floor during the night. I don't hate it, but don't love it either.
