A nut or bolt with a rusted or rounded head is a frustrating problem, and all too common on old vehicles and machinery. There are many tricks to removing the damaged fastener, but none as quick and simple as the ToolPRO bolt extractor set. This set covers 9 common socket sizes from 8 to 19mm and their chrome molybdenum construction makes them tough, and ensures they will be corrosion free for years to come. The ToolPRO Extractor 9 Piece Socket Set is suited for a 1/2" breaker bar, ratchet or impact wrench and includes 12, 13, 14, 17, 19, 21 and 24mm sizes. Using the ToolPRO bolt extractors are as simple as working with a regular socket. It is best to employ their use as soon as the nut or bolt becomes rounded, to ensure extraction goes smoothly. Choose the bolt extractor that matches the size of the nut or bolt head, and the teeth will bite into the metal as you undo the fastener. The process is the same for a rusty fastener, although use of a regular socket or spanner should be avoided - with the bolt extractor being used first up. A squirt of penetrating spray such as WD 40 will help the process along.

Bought this to help remove rounded wheel nut on boat trailer. It was very difficult to get off. Tried everything.Got these bolt removers, heated up the nut and used a breaker bar with the right socket and had to use a fair bit of force. I thought the studs would break but the nut was freed.

These do not bite as the spiralling does not become increasingly deeper into the centre. Spend the extra money and look for a set that does. This is not suitable if you have a reasonably stubborn lug nut. That's what I need to do now unfortunately.

Bought this socket set to undo rounded flywheel bolts that are made of cheese. Brand new, first turn of the socket and it slips. No different to my socket set. Wrecked the socket teeth already... because the sockets are also made of cheese.Wouldn’t waste your money. Disappointed

This extractor set does not have the twist style sockets but has straight edges that make it not much better than a standard socket. Combined with the fact that it does not have 1mm steps in sizes means that if the 17mm doesn't work, there is no 16mm to try; next size is 14mm. These sockets did not allow me to remove a tight wheel nut but then, in the end, I had to resort to drilling it out.
Didn't do the job unfortunately. Nearly $60 and got me nowhere, wouldn't get a rounded bolt out. Had to drill it out instead and buy another tool kit for $30 to get it out. I wouldn't recommend this product for rounded bolts
Great set of strong tools. Got me out of trouble with an almost inaccessible rounded head nut on a belt tension pully. Was an easy process.
I purchased a set of these 1 week ago from the Blackburn branch to hopefully loosen and remove 2 bolts on a '99 Nissan R34 diff centre. The nuts had sustained some slight rounding which rendered the usual socket no longer effective. I can report upon utilizing the Toolpro extraction socket I was enjoying success in a very short time. They really do bite in and accomplish the job. Frankly, I think they are a "must have" in one's toolkit. I should also add that despite putting a substantial amount of pressure on the socket, it sustained absolutely no damage whatsoever. Money well spent.
Trying to remove the cylinder head off a mighty AU engine, I got to the final bolt and cracked the socket I was using which then rounded the bolt. Tried smacking an imperial socket on and rounded it even more. Then purchased these sockets and managed to break 3 ratchets and bend a breaker bar but eventually it came loose (very old and worn out tools and would of helped if I applied some heat), price isn't too bad since these will definitely always be in my tool box now absolute life saver.
ToolPRO impact socket set was what I expected from it, it was of good quality and did the job I needed to do, removing stuborn lug nuts, happy with the purchase and the service I received from staff at Supercheap Auto.
Bought this last week, used on my rounded honda dio 110 scooter sump plug. Have to hammer on the rounded nut head and easily turned off.
