Make changing new brake pads into your car easy with the ToolPRO Disc Brake Spreader. As brake pads become worn, the brake piston caliper pushes further towards the disc, compensating for the reduced width of the worn brake pad. When it comes time for replacement of these pads, the caliper piston needs to be reset back to its original position in order to allow enough space for new pads. This can be a painful task without the right tool. Some people may try using other methods such as a G clamp; however this can easily slip and possibly cause damage to the caliper. The ToolPRO Disc Brake Spreader is a simple tool, designed to fit within the caliper with the pads removed and detached from the disc. When bracing against the side of the caliper opposite from the piston, the shaft then pushes the piston back inwards, thus allowing ample space for new brake pads

Super happy with the disc brake spreader. Removed the caliper and it took barely a minute using the old pad to push the pistons back in. Just don't forget to bleed the fluid as air and gritty fluid will impact your braking ability.Simple but essential for weekend/diy mechanics

Well made product but doesn't work on VZ Commodore original calipers. Can't complain about the product but couldn't use it on my Commodore. Will keep it for my other cars.

This is such a simple but almost necessary tool when working with disc brakes. Great size to have in the toolbox for those moments (especially when I needed it).

Great tool if you need to do the job properly. It is a little difficult to turn because the handles are a bit small, but for the price I'm prepared to put up with that. It makes the job must quicker and you know you're not pushing the cylinders in skew!
Great tool to have easily pushed callipers apart by hand didn’t even need to undo the brake nipple and bleed the brakes for hours on end “if you plan to change brakes buy this tool”
The handle is too small with only enough room for thumb and index finger to turn making it near impossible to budge a tight piston without multigrips to turn it. This brake spreader was my last option before a long weekend, if it had pins to fit in the piston slots it would have been bearable. As it was I had to resort to using an angle grinder lock nut tool (which luckily fit the 2 piston cavities) with this tool and alternate turns but metal on metal, the spreader kept slipping which is what the product info above suggests it doesn't do.I was really after the brake piston cube but it was out of stock, it's half the price of this spreader and easier to use. Don't waste your time and money on this one unless you have no other options.
Very easy to use with one hand did job well and effortlessly. Could have been cheaper for what it is though when 2 screw drivers will do the same job should have brought one years ago.
This product was terrible. For a decently stuck piston the threading just bent and the overall quality felt really cheap. I wouldn’t recommend wasting $25
Works fine, they just need to make the handle at the top a bit bigger to turn. I had to put a couple of sockets on it to give better leverage.
What an awesome buy this was absolutely worth it and for the price you definitely won't be disappointed a must have for anyone doing their own work at home cheers Supercheap you never dissapoint
