This a is a good tool to have in your home toolbox, but its not worth the retail price IMO (I got a good deal so...). It is small and convenient, but several full torque wretches are a similar price. If you travel with your bike frequently this is a must have travel tool. If you prefer 'clicker' type torque wrenches take note that this isn't one (you have to visually see the lines line up, but its clear and easy). Four stars at the price I paid, three stars at the retail price.
Added this to my DX Ratchet Rocket lite tool set, replacing the tyre levers which werent required anyway. Simple and effective torque wrench that is well made and easily portable as part part of a multi tool, or for your toolbox. I highly recommend!
Works as intended, 3 stars as I would get the other version. 5 as it does do the job.An external ring moves to point out amount of torque against the markings on the barrel.If I could go back, I would get the NANO TORQBAR X for extra $10 and here is why:The NANO TORQBAR X holds the bits and the torque bit and is used to apply torque and easier to transport.The bar edition?s bit has the Allen backing, no need to find a bit to attach it.With this version your provided tool is best with strong magnets or the constant moving around causes bits to separate.
Super Compact High Quality Torq wrench that you could bring evry ride.
This tool and the other one by Topeak that includes the bar are very compact and fit in a tiny spot in my saddle bag. I was expecting the tool to click at the proper tension but no noice. This tool, not shown in the videos, requires you to stop at 5N for the seat post while tuning the wrench. There is no click like the Park Tool and others true torque wrenches.
I've used beam type torque wrenches as an auto mechanic, this works well for a compact torque wrench. Assembled my whole bike using it (except for the larger bolts). Nice and compact but I don't think necessary for your on-bike repair kit though, 1 multi tool is enough. Probably for a compact bicycle tinkering-at-home tool kit.
I was looking for something small, practical and accurate to keep in a jacket pocket...this fits the bill nicely.
