I'll admit, initially I thought the latching failure reviews were over exaggerated. However, after sustaining an actual fall off a 3ft tall work bench, the latch busted open and the contents quite literally exploded all over the garage floor.I love the form factor on these, they are perfect for putting all your random anchors, screws, etc. in, but if they can't sustain a simple 3ft fall without all of it ending up on the floor, then these are relatively useless.I have used ToughBuilt for about 10 years now and have never had issues. I hope the solution they previously mentioned is something for us early adopters to get without spending an arm and a leg and that it's not just a redesign going forward.

I'll admit, initially I thought the latching failure reviews were over exaggerated. I saw these at my local Lowe's and thought they looked awesome and would be a nice change to how I store extra screws, fasteners, etc that I use at home and sometimes take with me to work and church to work on AV. I bought four of them. In the two weeks I've owned them they have already spilled open twice. If I had any confidence they would stay shut I would highly recommend them.
I love all of the stack tech products. I have bought almost everything already because I love them that much. But this low profile organizer is my least favorite. The concept and look is pretty cool but the latch isn’t as strong as it should be. It unlatches too easy. If they can fix that, these would be prefect. And one small problem I have been having is the stickers they put on their stack tech products tend to leave a bunch of adhesive when you take them off and I tried cleaning it off with essential oil and now it ruined my box. I wish they would just zip ties their tags on their products because now this is going to bother me.
Pro: Great product for me. Bought 2. They snap in and out of place with one hand onto the larger box beneath or to each other. I can use them to take only the wrenches, drivers and/or other small tools I need for a particular task. The removable insert cups are great for miscellaneous fasteners and what not.Cons: It would be nice if some of the yellow bin inserts were longer to separate screwdrivers or other longer tools from rolling around. While they are easy to unlatch and latch one handed. They tend to keep the larger tool chest below from un-latching unless you remove these first.
I bought this organizer to hold a bigger volume of fasters I need. I went from a small and cheap organizer to this very solid but heavy organizer. One of the containers is able to hold about 150 5/16 hex nuts or about 100 5/16 x 1 hex bolts.Pros:DurableSpaciousRemovable dividersConsHeavyBulkyI have read some reviews with complaints about the latch system. So far in 2 weeks I have not experienced any issues.
It opens very easily. I don't like that.
