My only option is wifi so went for the best I could.Upon arrival, installation was quick and simple. about 10 mins physical install and another 10 mins max installing drivers. It worked great straight away.My only gripe with this product was the length of extension to be able to have the aerials placed on stand away from pc. There still seems to be random data packet loss time to time resulting in dropouts which is frustrating but I think I just have to deal with the fact that wifi is never going to be completely stable enough to stream with. Not at all the fault of this product though. So in conclusion 5/5 highly recommend and price was great.

Downloaded the app, connected an ethernet cable between the Gigabox and the first Deco ethernet socket and followed the instructions. It's about the same in the next room on the floor and after that the Deco is much better.Overall we're really happy with it, and I've given a few more details of how I finalised setup and speeds below. To finalise setup I did end up changing SSID names so the Deco used the SSID from the Gigabox. Saved me adding every device to a new wifi network (and I changed SSIDs on Gigabox). Also for TV and multimedia devices we use ethernet via a switch so I plugged the switch into the second ethernet socket on the Deco. I'd have liked more ethernet sockets on the Deco - devices plugged directly into the Gigabox weren't visible on the Deco network so I had to do a bit more cable swapping and one device I switched from Ethernet to WiFi because I ran out of sockets. We have some cheap Luminea Smart power switches which didn't work with the Gigabox, and they work well with the Deco which is a bonus.I tested ping and connection speeds using Speedtest in a few places "before/after" at a time when we had a good UPC connection (close to 1GBps on ethernet). Ping didn't seem to change, usually between 9-11. Download speeds varied and Gigabox is noticeably quicker over short range. We don't need high speed in further locations, just reliability, so I didn't spend time optimising the positioning of the Decos to get fastest speed. In all locations I could connect on the 5Ghz band with Deco, for Gigabox it dropped to 2.4GHz in further locations.Anyway, here are the results:Near to router: - 25%Next room: same speeds for bothNext floor: +200% (144 vs 67)Next floor furthest room: +250% (67 vs 25)Bunker: (40 vs 0) and ping dropped to 15ms on Deco

Future-proof Your Desktop Wi-Fi

I wanted to test an alleged Wi-Fi 6/WPA3 router I had acquired, but didn't have any client hardware with those capabilities. I got this card to test those newer standards, and to replace a terrible OEM Wi-Fi adapter in a desktop I use mainly as a media center. Installation was a breeze, and I even had an available USB header on the motherboard for the Bluetooth to work, so now I avail myself of private listening using my wife's headphones. The Bluetooth range is remarkable. The computer in which this is installed is located on the second floor of my old, plaster-and-lathe house. while listening to music through headphones, I left the room, went around a corner, went downstairs to the first floor, then down to the scary basement. The connection never faltered. Now, on to the Wi-Fi performance. If you look at the attached photo, which was a screenshot of my network status, the card definitely connects as an 802.11ax client with a WPA3 protocol. Note that the up- and download speed is 1200 Mbps! The last thing that makes this card worth it is that it sports Intel hardware, making it likely to receive driver support for a long time.

Good Wi-fi adapter
21 September 2022

Definitely an upgrade from my Netgear A6210 USB adapter, which would constantly disconnect randomly and would have horrible speeds. Also, this adapter can connect to wireless displays which is great. It comes with drivers on a DVD so if you don't have an optical drive, download the drivers beforehand. Otherwise, setup is simple. Just run the driver installer and you're good to go.

Great, so far! Fast Wi-Fi, excellent BT range.

I bought this for my wife's PC, as she wanted to use Bluetooth earbuds for gaming and online calling. I tried a tiny, cheap Bluetooth dongle for a few bucks, but the range was abysmal. While this was a bit more than I wanted to spend, it's been worth the investment. Installation was quick and painless. I've built PCs before, so installing the card and connecting the USB header was no big deal for me. Now her PC no longer needs a wired network connection to get fast speeds. Over 802.11n, downloads went super-fast and speed tests showed excellent results. The primary concern was Bluetooth range. The only issue we discovered is a Windows 10 problem, not an issue with this adapter. For some reason, it doesn't fully-reconnect for music, it seems to only reconnect for voice calling, which leaves the audio tinny. Re-pairing the buds fixes it every time. And I certainly can't fault the adapter for this. Overall, this adapter has been fantastic. It's fast, has good range, and it connects quickly. If I need another adapter like this in the future, I'd get this again in a heartbeat.

Having upgraded my router to WiFi 6 standard, the dodgy old WiFi card in my wife's desktop PC couldn't connect to it. Curses! After a scour of the internet, I saw some pretty good reviews of this bit of kit so I picked one up. Very easy to install, if you're accustomed to rumaging around inside PCs, and an excellent receiver. You'll need to connect it to a USB plug on your motherboard (using the cable provided) if you want to use the Bluetooth connectivity, but that's no more daunting than inserting the card into the PCI-E slot in the first place. My wife is very happy with her new-found high-speed reliable internet access, and I'm in her good books. So that's a buy!

Kevin's review of TP-Link Archer AX3000 Wi-Fi 6 Bluetooth 5.0 PCIe Adapter
10 June 2022

Pros: Easy to install the hardware. Great to have separate antenna stand, so the antenna are not shielded by the big metal box that is the PC.Cons: Drivers come on a disc or need to be downloaded from the website --- like many modern PCs, mine does not have an optical drive (so using the disc is out) and, with an unconfigured network adaptor I could not access the website ... so had to use another PC, download to a memory stick then install drivers from that ... bit of messing about.

As for this beast of a Network card rocking the AX200 chip even without the antenna accessory attached gave me the full speed of my internet connection and the stability is perfect. It dropped the ping about 10-15ms which is perfect. I know this chip is capable of speeds between 800-950 Mbps for this with gigabit internet connections. In the photo: excuse, my bad wiring the antenna has one wire coming to it and it splits into two when connecting to the card. Unfortunately, the Bluetooth feature does need a USB header to be taken.
