I got this router so I can link my pico 4 vr headset & PC on the same wifi 6 network to play games on steam vr.Thus router does that & instantly boosted my sitting room wifi from 80mbps to 300mbps on a 5ghz network. Power down your main router then connect through ethernet cable preferably cat6 or above & what your wifi speeds & deadzones change drastically. The cpu is pretty basic & it does get hot under heavy load but thanks to the usb port I connected my small ... Pros: 4 Ethernet portsCons: Tp-support poor. Marketing over hyped. Fewer options to configure than older models. Homeshield does not seem to do anything. Response from tp-support is links to marketing.
Delivers as per manufacturers promise. Stable Wi-Fi. Reliable thus far. Easy setup. Comprehensive user guide. GUI easy navigation with helps. All the features expected from a decent router. Only con is that all Wi-Fi has to be on to utilise guest option so a security flaw there as far as I'm concerned. Others may not mind that but I specifically bought it for access to Wi-Fi cams and nothing else so I'd have preferred to be able to disable other network Wi-Fi.
