Before installation I had my home main router in my home office. I pay for 200mbps download from Wow. If I try to connect to the internet from my bedroom on the other side of the house I could only get 40 to 50mbps and sometimes it would drop completely. After installing the 3 node Deco X60.. one in the home office, one in the basement that is halfway between the bedroom and my office... and one in my bedroom. Now I get 160mbps to full 200mbps speed in my bedroom. Whooo Hooo... it works! Note: after installing this each of the nodes needed to autoupdate their firmware. Before this firmware update the download speed was half of what I am getting now. Point is.. make sure you update the firmware if needed.

Pros: With the Deco x60 it is the first time in over 25years using various products that I have got usable wifi coverage throughout my house and beyond. My house consists of two old cottages joined into one and wild shape with bits sticking out here and there. All external and a few internal walls are 2 feet thick. This in the past has caused many problems, internal walls are single brick with some double brick.Cons: An upgraded model which is tryband. But saying that at my present usage I have more than I require at this moment. Even when my kids and grand kids are here with their phones and tablets. My 6 devices work brilliantly. I have one phone and two tablets.

I bought this modem after a lightning strike took out our old one. It was supposed to be the bees knees, and instead it ended up being a complete nightmare. It constantly dropped out despite being set up properly. I checked forums and the like and ended up realising it was an issue with the particular model.Stupidly I threw out the box, or I’d Be returning the piece of garbage.

Firstly , super service from Digitec, especially Joël from Wohlen. Thanks for your support, knowledge and friendly service. As for the TP Link Wifi. We live in a typical Swiss house with concrete walls and floors , so the signal from the base router was not strong to go throughout the house. As I did not want to drill holes in the floor, I tried numerous repeaters.I have been using the TP Link Deco X60 for over 1 week now, it was easy to set up and works very well as a mesh network. Recommend it.
Super easy to set up, works with FTTN NBN which was the main selling point. A bit pricey but totally worth it. I hope th use it for years. Antenna is on all bars around the whole 95 sq/m apartment. It has cool options like guest network and also lists all your devices that you can name. If ever you need more range it is compatible with a few mesh extenders. Highly recommended.
Pros: Compared to standard TalkTalk router that did not have the device throughput I need and was laggy and slow this is lightning fast. As well as more devices (Shows me 26 connected) connects at 100Mb and I get 75Mb down and 18Mb up on a “65Mb line”. My separate old 3rd party DSL router broke and kept disconnecting.Cons: There is a web based maintenance option as well as mobile one. Real techies may want some more configuration options. I’m reasonably techy and have all I need.
Pros: I’ve had problems getting WiFi to the end of my oddly shaped house for five years. This system has solved all my WiFi problems and also I didn’t realised I could forward on wired ports which my telly has for example ( our tv does not have wireless only wired), that works perfectly too. I could not be more satisfied with my DecoCons: I don’t have any, too satisfied and I work in IT, it has features that my £120000 rollout of wireless access points don’t have at work.
Pros: Relatively small, discrete units.Fast reliable internet connection.Cons: Bought as said to be easiest to set up, but we had to spend 3-4 hours, including phone calls to Deco and to our ISP provider Plusnet, to get connected up. Conflicting advice about the settings 'Type of ISP connection', and to which socket on modem to connect the ethernet cable. The people on the phone at both ends were very helpful and in the end it was very straightforward to connect up the other units after the base unit was up and running. We now have cracking internet speeds on all 3 floors (one unit on each floor). It should have been easier to ascertain, before purchase, that the base unit has to be physically connected to the ISP's modem, so its position cannot be any other. The re-set 'button' is not a button but a hole in there base of the unit, into which one needs to push a wire - not something I tend to do naturally, so this should be clearer in instructions, with reassurances about the safety of doing what mother always told us we should never do!
Pros: It works. Seriously. Plugged device one in. Connected to the app. The Wifi network appeared. Woohoo. Devices 2 and 3 were the same. Replaced the patchy wifi in my house and get great throughput with full bandwidth everywhere.I am very impressed with the product.Cons: Using Zoom with this device on the extended mesh results in patchy connections. I am not sure if this is the way my nodes are distributed or something to do with Zoom. I am yet to try a Zoom call from close to the unit that plugs into the modem. A competitor product works well using both the native app and the Web version. I also use Collaborate for a university course and have not experienced any connection problems. This seems odd to me and this is why I have provided a low score on reliability. ... MorePros: It works. If there is a hardware patch or software configuration to sort this issue I would try it out.
Connecting laptop was hard, different IP configuration which did not connect my laptop automatically, even though I used DHCP. Signal strength seems good, two devices connected to LAN but did not have internet after a few days. I found the devices had random MAC settings, I changed to use device MAC and seems good now. this hasn't happened on other router/modems before.
