So, as far as I can tell, TP-Link gave Walmart their own model number for these as it does not exist anywhere else, including the TP-Link website, but is identical to the XE75. Interestingly enough, between the two models, the options in the Deco app differ. Homeshield Pro does NOT exist for this device, it is instead broken into two different subscriptions, one for Family administration, and then one for Security totaling roughly $8 per month. The XE75 allows you to purchase Homeshield Pro, which contains all of the same options as the two that show in the app for this model, but only costs $5.99 per month. I'm guessing Walmart must get some chunk of the proceeds here, which is a bit ridiculous.I will say, regardless of this strange Walmart-only model number, the ... Until we get 6GHz devices, utilizing this band for the backhaul works amazingly well and every unit provides equal amazing speeds to the entire house. The ethernet jacks on all units is a wonderful addition that doesn't exist on most other mesh systems and the cost is absolutely unbeatable in comparison. TP-Link is proof all the others (Netgear, Linksys, etc.) are ripping customers off. FYI, the equivalent Linksys mesh system has horrid reviews. If you're looking for an amazing 6E mesh system, you should NOT look anywhere but the XE75 or WE10800.

This isn't a technical review, because I'm not a technical person. I can follow directions, and I'm reasonably informed, but if you want technical specs, etc, then there are plenty of those reviews out on the internet. My speeds were on average 50% faster than they were with my previous router on my wired work VPN, my wireless personal laptop, and my phone. These aren't small devices; they are about the size of a smart speaker. Setup was as easy as downloading an app and plugging them in and turning on the modem. You will need to set up a new account with TP-Link, so be ready with a username and secure password. The app was easy to use and didn't require any knowledge of settings. The most technical thing it asked was for you to set up the name and password of your router. I used the name and password of my previous router so that I wouldn't have to reconnect every single device in the home. That isn't the most secure thing to do, but it was expedient!Once all the lights stopped flashing and it connected to the internet (zero issues), my devices started connecting quickly and automatically. One or two devices had to be powered off and back on to connect, but the transition was easy. Setting up the second router was even easier, as once I plugged it in, the main router found it and brought it into the system and I didn't have to do anything.I will note that this particular model wasn't available for setup in the app, and I used model XE75 Pro, since several articles I read equated this model with that number. I'm not sure if this is an AXE5400, or a WE10800, but it was used in other places interchangeably with XE75, and that was all that was available on the app. I have not tried to contact customer support about this, and I don't know if using that model number versus the correct one is costing me features or performance. But I do know that I'm faster, and that it was an easy transtion, and that's enough for me. I will try to figure out the model number/setup situation soon.

The newest feature is the 6 GHz wifi-band, which is blazingly fast, depending if you have the maximum subscription from your Internet service provider. I've noticed a difference in speeds but works better when close to the router for serious uploads and downloads, when latched on to the 6GHz. For further distance away from the router the 2.5GHz and 5.0GHz is more than adequate for average use, which latches on seamlessly in the background without noticing and doing anything. The Deco app on the mobile device is the main interface that's needed to access features for this mesh router, such as the 6GHz wifi band, Guest Network, analytical data, as well as controlling, monitoring kids devices by manipulating wifi access times, filter websites, and check internet history.Overall, this Deco mesh system is superb with solid wifi coverage and great features that'll keep devices connected and everyone satisfied. Highly recommended.
I now have a strong Wi-Fi signal throughout my single level 1,700 sq. ft. home; this includes a patio behind a stucco wall and in my backyard. Think of this as being a less congested (read faster) network. The install documentation said it would only take minutes, and I rarely believe that kind of estimation. However, the installation was extremely easy and without issue. The Deco app is amazing and very easy to understand and follow. I downloaded it to my Android phone. Make sure you have a signal that is not Wi-Fi before starting, as you will be without a network during your set-up.I changed from the router I had (a relatively new and robust one) to this system. I am using the modem my provider (CenturyLink) gave me, it is a C11100Z Zyxel co-branded CenturyLink. I unplugged my existing router from the modem and followed the directions on the app after plugging one of the units into the modem. The other unit was later plugged into an AC outlet in my living room. It did not take long for everything to be discovered. I changed my two phones and switched two TVs to use this network with two Deco mesh routers. I later connected my wireless all-in-one HP printer to the network. Of course, my PC is on this network as well. This was easy and straightforward. I have since tested my download and upload speeds and they are both very fast. All my devices that use Wi-Fi are on this network and performing properly. If you need faster Wi-Fi, say you are a gamer or have more devices on your network, you can add additional Decos. The TP-Link Deco AXE5400 Wi-Fi looks pretty neat too, an esthetically pleasing form I do not need to hide. All around winner!

I just upgraded from a Netgear WiFi Router with a range extender in the other room. This was SO much easier to install and configure and works much more seamlessly with my devices. I had it up and running in no time with the Deco app on my Android phone. The only confusing thing was that the app asks you to pick your model and I kept looking for AXE5400, but it was under XE75 (the other part of the name). I also had to make sure that my old network was down for 30s or so before it would allow me to re-use the network name and password (so I wouldn't have to re-enter settings in every WiFi device in my house).I'm getting consistent, full speed throughout the house and garage now. I was happy that it will search all the channels to find the emptiest one (I live in a very crowded neighborhood - in the past I had to manually find the empty channels). After setup I used a scanning app to verify that it had chosen channels that none of my neighbors use :-)I also have wired ethernet in many places in the house, and was happy to find that I could just plug one of the non-main units into the wall and it automatically switched to using the wired connection as the backchannel to the main unit. How cool was that? The app shows exactly what is going on with the system in a very understandable way.It literally made every smart decision through the whole process all by itself. Even though I know what to do, I didn't have to lift a finger for it to set itself up in the most optimal way.I wondered if I was being silly to spend this kind of money to upgrade my system, and it was worth every penny!

These replace an Apple Airport Time Capsule ($600, replaced once by Apple) which Apple stopped making in 2016. I could not be happier so far. Using one as a router on the landing of my basement stairs and one on the windowsill in my problem room (a converted one-car garage with concrete walls under the new paneling), not only do I suddenly get coverage ALL OVER the house (a first), but it even reaches to an outdoor balcony, the covered porch in back, and a separate building in the yard where I have my pool table--where there was zero signal before. MoreThese replace an Apple Airport Time Capsule ($600, replaced once by Apple) which Apple stopped making in 2016. Also, the speeds are suddenly much faster. The worst speeds with the TP-Link are better than the best speeds with the Time Capsule. I didn't even do any experimenting with siting the second unit--I just put it on the windowsill where it was handiest (see pic), and it works fine.My experience did deviate from that of some others in that setup was not straightforward for me--I had to spend a lot of time on the phone with Chris from Spectrum, who was very patient and cheerful. I do live in a very rural area, and have a complicated 1880's house. We did get it running, and I'm still not sure how. But all is well in the end.I haven't even had these set up for one day so far, so I can't speak to reliability. But for performance, I'm very happy. The screen shot shows my speeds out on my front porch, which I use as my office. The porch is behind some real plaster walls with METAL lathe, which usually acts like a perfect RF shield. That is the largest speed number I've ever seen out here by a far shot.BIG KUDOS and thanks to B&H Customer Service--the rep I talked to prior to buying these (I wish I could remember his name) really did a thorough job running down my options, and recommended these along with two other recommendations at different price points. He told me I was going to see big gains in performance, and was he ever right.
I was excited to try out the Deco WE10800 with my home internet. I went to my provider's website and confirmed that my Nokia 5G21 Gateway will workthese mesh units. I know that with a cellularhome internet that I would have a few caveats like 2 WIFI signals on my network since the mobile network is always on WIFI, and I'm not comfortable enough to go in the gateway's app and try and turn off things that I have no business turning off.The setup took me a minute because there is no listing of the exact model of this Deco unit within the app that the instructions stated to ... MoreI was excited to try out the Deco WE10800 with my home internet. I went to my provider's website and confirmed that my Nokia 5G21 Gateway will workthese mesh units. I've got a small house, but I have a lot of things attached to my WIFI (TVs, music devices, cameras, appliances, etc.) and some of those items are unforgiving with where I can place them for use. I know that with a cellularhome internet that I would have a few caveats like 2 WIFI signals on my network since the mobile network is always on WIFI, and I'm not comfortable enough to go in the gateway's app and try and turn off things that I have no business turning off.The setup took me a minute because there is no listing of the exact model of this Deco unit within the app that the instructions stated to use. So, I guessed and used a model number that was close and it gave me a message stating that I was using a different model than my actual unit, and did I want to continue, so I did, and it still successfully completed the setup. But, that was concerning for a good 15 minutes as I did internet searches on what model I was supposed to use in the app, but I couldn't find anything.Once I was done setting up one (I haven't tried using the 2nd Deco unit yet b/c I'm still in a trial phase), I did some speed tests. That up and down was very much the same as my normal WIFI, although I did slow down on my ping, which is not good considering that is my biggest gripe about my home internet to begin with. But, speeds were the same, so I was happy there. Now, reach was not really improved. My outdoor security camera on the side of my house was still on the struggle bus with signal strength. I tried to see if using some devices on the mesh and leaving a few on my Provider's gateway would help, but no, there was no difference there either. So I need to do some more testing and playing around to see if I can get further reach, and I am hopeful. But I'm also naturally pessimistic and realize that I get what I get because of the nature of a cellular gateway for home internet. And that's fine. So, basically I recommend this to use because of the ease of setup once I could figure out which model to select.
