70/10 to 230/330

After moving, I ended up on the other side of the house from the router. My WiFi internet speeds were averaging 70/10 even though my internet plan is 1000/1000 and I have high-end equipment. Even from LAN, I couldn't smoothly stream a 10mbps video from my PC to Nvidia Shield, the signal was just too weak for a reliable connection. After pairing this extender to my Netgear router, it created a new SSID that provided a 230/330 internet speeds, which is multitudes faster than before. The more reliable connection also solved my LAN issues, so even high bitrate videos stream smoothly across the network. If you're looking to increase the quality of your connection for improved speeds, this is definitely the way to do it.

Excellent for use as an AP. Currently it is serving as an AP connected to a TP-Link AX6600(in router mode). Internal network speeds range from 1.1 to 1.3 gb(using wired back haul). 1 gb Fiber Internet averages 1.0 to 1.1gb. Both 5 g & 6e networks work great, but range is very limited on 6e. It would be great if had a a 2.5 gb port.

Disappointing. Avoid TP-Link for now.

Can't recommend this. Doesn't give the flexibility or features as some competitors do for this type of product. Doesn't give much of a signal boost. It's so small, I'd say moving the router a foot would give it the same signal strength increase.Does setup fairly easily. But for me (and what seems like the entire tp-link forum), without a dedicated wired backhaul with OneMesh, this probably not going to solve your coverage needs. Even as an AP, without a wired backhaul, it's not much use. With the new 5GB internet and a 10GB TP-Link router provided by the ISP, was hoping the TP-Link ecosystem would be similar to competitors like Asus. Exceeded my expectations
23 November 2022

In the past I've stayed away from TP-Link, there was no reason, I just found Amazon Eero and Linksys to suffice. We rented a new house and unfortunately AT&T brought fiber into the house in the farthest left front corner of the house. Not ideal. I hooked up the Eero Mesh consisting of 1 router and 2 access points and was getting a weak, inconsistent signal. On average, I would get 150 to 200 MBPS down and 75 to 150 MBPS up. It's not bad, but I have 1 GBPS fiber. Trying to resolve the issue I first purchased the TP-Link Wi-Fi 6E AX5400 PCIe card, it was a slight upgrade to the onboard NIC. Then I purchased the TP-Link Archer AXE300 6E router to replace the entire mesh. Then I purchased the TP-Link Archer AXE300 6E router to replace the entire mesh. Surprisingly, from the same computer, from the one router I was seeing a more consistent signal with both the up and down speeds from 240 to 280 Mbps. Still hoping to get more out of my fiber speed, I noticed the TP-Link AXE5400 range extender. It arrived yesterday, and for me it was setup in only a couple of minutes. Durning the setup, the Tether app did hiccup once, but ultimately it didn't cause issues. The range extender picked up all three frequencies (2.4, 5, and 6 GHZ). Now from the same computer, I can see the 6E signal and full bars and when I did the speed test it averages between 550 and 580 both down and up. I found the TP-Link ranger extender to exceed my expectations.

As advertised. I live in a remote cabin with thick log walls. I purchased the extender in order to work in the room which is furthest from the Inseego Router. Works better than I expected. Easily set up and synchs. I have had extenders from other well known manufacturers which matched the router I had and they never worked. I was desparate, so I am glad I took the chance on the TP Link.

Regular extender - Good, OneMesh extender - Bad
9 December 2022

Bought the AXE75 Wifi 6e router to pair with the re815xe Wifi 6e extender. As a regular extender, it works fine (assigns EXT to each SSID band 2.4, 5 and 6ghz). However, does not work with TP-Link's OneMesh system for Wifi 6e as advertised. Only extends 2.4 and 5ghz bands in OneMesh, not 6ghz. TP-Link's other Wifi 6e routers may work with the re815xe for the 6ghz band in Onemesh, however, the AXE75 does not. Spoke with TP-Link tech support, and they did in-house testing, and confirmed that AXE75 and re815xe do not communicate with Onemesh for 6ghz band. Maybe a future firmware update (for either the AXE75 or re815xe) will solve the issue, we'll see in time.

I recently upgraded my WiFi to a TP-Link ARCHER AXE75 tri-band router. Rather than the third band being a second 5G band, it's a 6E band. Like 5G compared to 2.74G, the 6E has a significantly smaller sphere of distance connectivity-wise, so there were spots in my home that my 6e capable device couldn't connect without backing down to the 5G band. The only compatible extender TP-Link has as of right now with 6e capability is the RE815XE. Yes, it's pricey currently, but after setting it up via an Ethernet cable for maximum speed, my entire household has excellent coverage for all three bands. I love that the extender has the option to turn off the status lights and also allows a schedule for having the lights on or off. It's large and I have it plugged in to a short extension cable to the power strip so it doesn't take up two or three spots. The antennae are adjustable. It shows up along with the router on the Tether app. Very easy to use. If you're more concerned about speed and connectivity than you are about a cheap extender, just remember that in this case you definitely get what you pay for.

Unreliable router, disappointing bestbuy return
2 March 2023

Works very poorly as an access point. It was much slower than a wifi5 netgear I had from years ago. Every couple of weeks, it will disconnect all devices and refuse to let them join. I set it up as a wifi6e client hooked to some devices via network cable. That also went down after a few days, it's unclear if that's due to this device or the access point's 6e antennae going down. Overall, very poor product. I won't be buying these types of things from BestBuy since it took more than 2 weeks to discover how unreliable this device is.

Wifi 6e has a great signal coverage but...
27 October 2022

So since 6ghz is newer bandwidth it has zero traffic. The only downside of the 6e routers they are designed not to send 6g signal from the get go. Now, having a wifi 6e extender is useless to have. But the coverage is great its just that it doesn't have 6ghz signal to extend if your router (tplink) automatically turns that 6ghz signal off.

i not kidding. that lazy fiber guy installed the fiber modem in the basement (i shouldn't gave him 20$ tip, i didnt realized wifi6e sensitive to distance). im upstair first floor, about 2 rooms away, i getting around 400mb. after i installed this extender upstair near the router, i getting 600+ mb in my room that is 2 rooms away. my sonic internet plan is "up to" 10Gb
