Like another reviewer on here, I bought this camera on special offer and with a discount code so at a very good price!I was looking for a camera that could give good coverage in an area I couldn't get power to and this looked like it would fit the bill.Really easy to install and the quality of the image is excellent.I was sceptical of the efficiency of such a small solar panel but so far, even on a fairly overcast October autumn day, the charge level is holding its own and even increasing slightly.Don't expect the panel to top up the charge level to 100% every day, it won't, but the manufacturer claims that the camera can last "Up to" 180 days on a full charge.My experience is that I installed it with a internal charge of 65% and by the end of the first ... MoreLike another reviewer on here, I bought this camera on special offer and with a discount code so at a very good price!I was looking for a camera that could give good coverage in an area I couldn't get power to and this looked like it would fit the bill.Really easy to install and the quality of the image is excellent.I was sceptical of the efficiency of such a small solar panel but so far, even on a fairly overcast October autumn day, the charge level is holding its own and even increasing slightly.Don't expect the panel to top up the charge level to 100% every day, it won't, but the manufacturer claims that the camera can last "Up to" 180 days on a full charge.My experience is that I installed it with a internal charge of 65% and by the end of the first day that was down to 45% but that was largely due to the novelty factor of me playing with the live stream which drains the battery faster than just leaving it to record based on movement triggering it.Leaving it alone and letting the solar panel do its thing, its charge level has slowly recovered to 50% and it's recording what I want it to.I expect that every now and again, I'll bring the camera inside to top up the battery to 100% using a USB charger (it's very easy to detach).Very happy with this.
