TP-Link Tapo Dimmable Smart Light Bulb L510E

Got these to try out when they were on special. They are great. Initially bought them to turn lights on and off randomly while we are away and they do that just fine. Is great that you can schedule times to turn on and off too. Love the dimming feature also. Gives the room ambience at night when its on 1%. Will buy more.

Easy to set up, the colour temperature is really nice (I find a lot of LED lightbulbs tend to be garishly white, but these bulbs have a good hint of yellow), and they work exactly as they're supposed to. Nothing more to say really.

These dont work in situations where a single wall switch controls more than one light such as a bedroom or living room with 2 light sockets but only one switch. Found that out the hard way.

Very easy to set up using the Tapo mobile app. Light can be programmed, dimmed, and works easy with Google Assistant with voice commands. I have several of these at home and they all work great. Our house has older wiring and bulbs tend to blow prematurely but these bulbs have not had any issues and are still going months after installing. No special equipment needed. Just take out your old bulb and replace it with this one. Login to the Tapo app making sure you are connected to your home wifi, and set up is very easy. I will keep adding to the Tapo range.

Amazing WiFi Smart Bulb!

This smart light bulb is great for its price and the app is well designed. It works flawlessly and at first I had some trouble setting it up. I encountered a problem with my router and could not connect the smart bulb to WiFi. Fortunately, some helpful customer support agent helped me greatly and fixed my problem within a hour. The app works well and the Alexa integration is convenient. I highly recommend this light bulb and even if you have problems the customer support is great!

Great product

Awesome lights. We have several of these lights off a single light switch and they work great this way.

Pros: All Tapo products are great. 1 app for cameras/lights and sockets. Never lose connection to the WiFi. All on timers or controlled from phone, never come home to a dark house. Dusk till dawn timer is my favourite on the lights as I don’t have to keep adjusting the time on darker/lighter nights as it’s automatic. Dimming feature on this bulb is excellent. From 1% to 100%. I remember when you couldn’t dim LEDs. 11 out of 10 all round! Cons: Nope!

Pros: Great product. Compatible with Alexa, very affordable and can also set your lights to come on with sunset and sunrise. Cons: It would be good if it was compatible with Apple home, and Siri, as oppose to an app. We have one in the kitchen and one in the lounge. With Alexa in the kitchen we usually have to walk over to kitchen or use the app. Through Siri would be great!

Not a bad smart bulb but not as flexible as some

This smart bulb doesn't require a bridge which I lile and the app is straightforward to use, but there are only a few presets and while you can add custom actions, you can only have one condition. You can't for example set it to dim gradually and then turn off after half an hour or gradulaly brighten in the morning to wake you up. I will probably end up changing it for something else witch is a shame, I previously had the OSRAM smart bulb and the app for Tapo is much, much better.

Works with Mesh Wi-Fi!

I have a Netgear Orbi mesh Wi-Fi router and found that anything using the Tuya backend for control just wouldn’t connect. This seems to be a common problem. The TP-Link Tapo, however, connected quickly and easily and I’m able to fully control it through the app.
