Plug and play. Just works. Can't complain. The PSU is massive. That's a drawback but expected considering the wattage.

I needed a switch for remote audio work on location. The unit had to have PoE, multicast and QoS in a compact package. The RAVENNA networking protocol that I use needs these elements to synchronize the various AV devices properly. This little powerhouse out of the box worked perfectly and I have had no trouble getting everything talking to one another. If you need these features in a plug and play format you can't go wrong with this unit, especially for the price. Highly recommended!

The big thing with this POE switch is that it is POE+, allowing extra power through ethernet to needed devices. I am using to power 4 access points and I wanted to make sure they all got the power they needed. It works great. As with any switch each company's individual implementation of things such as VLANs is annoying. I don't really understand what TP-LINK is doing here, but I got it to work so no harm, no foul. Overall a great switch, especially for the price.

i needed an emergency PoE switch after my unifi one died from a few electrical surges. plug and play was easy and accessing its config was straight forward. i am using in DHCP but static adjustment and VLAN config easy and straight forward. cant go wrong for the price point. management portal is lackluster but for the price what are you expecting?
This managed switch was very simple to setup and works as advertised. The Configuration Mgmt Utility download from TPLink's site makes configuration changes like QoS, VLAN's, etc.., easy to perform. I'd definitely recommend this switch to anyone that's looking for a small managed switch.
Was doing a home network upgrade due to our original router going bad. Decided to go with a ubiquiti UniFi dream machine pro and 3 UniFi nanohd APβs. Needed power for the APβs as I did not want to us injectors. This switch has more then enough power to run this. It is working no issues.
Pros: Bought two of these, no issues everything works as it should. Streaming 4K from my NAS to the NVidia Shield buffer free. Cons: None
It totally does what it should. It has ports, it switches traffic, it does Power over Ethernet. Check, check check. And not too expensive. Get it! I mean, if you need it. If you dont need it I would not recommend picking one up.
I purchased this because my grandsons were frustrated by the limits of WiFi speed when gaming. They are both dazzled by the speed and reliability of the wired gig connection through this switch--and the price made the change a no-brainer.
I have a TP-Link Omada managed LAN. Needed a small capacity switch to plug in AV equipment where 3 devices would be on my IoT junk network and 1 would be on my secure home network. So needed a managed device. This works great - you just need to fumble through the not so clear settings on the device. And you MUST make the device IP static or it wanders off never to be managed again. Once I figured that out - all was good and has been working terrific for a month plus and speeds are exactly where they should be.
