Buying a chip is very binary. It either works or doesn't work. If it works its 5 stars and not 1 star. Assuming it works, how was the price. Well when you shopped it on a comparison price basis you made the choice to buy it at this price. Cannot not be unhappy if you bought it unless someone was holding a gun to your head and said push the buy key,

Don't let the warrant on this card sway your decision to buy this product. I like buying memory with lifetime warranty for the added assurance that the manufacturer will stand behind their product. However, in Transcend's case, this warranty is useless. This card has always been in my phone until I swapped phones. Immediately, the new phone would not recognize the SD card. I swapped it back to the original phone and it would no longer read it. Neither would two computers with various card readers and recovery programs. Nothing would recognize that it even existed. Transcend quickly rejected my warranty claim due to "Physical Damage to Product." On the edge of the card is a small scrape. I don't know how it got scraped but I'm sure this "physical damage" wouldn't ... MoreDon't let the warrant on this card sway your decision to buy this product. I believe I could notch this portion out with a knife and not damage the card. I believe they were looking for any excuse not to have to replace the card.

I purchased this product to use in a Garmin "Nuvi" 1450 to be able to add extra features by increasing the memory of the device as it comes from the manufacturer. Garmin recommended no larger than 4 gigs be added to this particular model number GPS.It was the lowest priced of all I researched so I purchased it on the internet site, it was delivered faster than quoted and works fine in the Garmin. As for ''Dual Purpose" the product comes with an adapter to make it fit other applications, as for the Garmin it only needed the smaller memory chip and not the adapter but I noticed I had a digital camera that could use both the adapter and the memory chip if the occasion ever presented itself.Using the Thumbnail image as a guide the Garmin uses the smaller of the 2 ... MoreI purchased this product to use in a Garmin "Nuvi" 1450 to be able to add extra features by increasing the memory of the device as it comes from the manufacturer. No setup required when installed in an Android phone or Tab. Great price. Also I have been loyal to Transcend for a couple of decades. They have been killing the prices on RAM since back in the 90's. It's hard to beat Walmart on quite a few products. I use them because I can depend on the quality and the assurance that I getting what is presented. In other words, no fake stuff with Walmart.
Had to use this brand in our dash cams . Nothing else worked . Was in an accident and the police officer pulled the card . The video was ...PERFECT. WE WON , and got our vehicle fixed .
It's an itty bitty card, size-wise and GB-wise, but it's just the ticket if you need it for your Roku 3. It works, it works, it works! I found out the hard way that the SanDisk brand does not work with a Roku, it will not be recognized. I have used big SanDisk cards forever for cameras, so I trusted they would be OK for something as simple as this. Nope. For some reason, they just don't. If you do a Google search on the topic, you'll find a lot written about not getting the card installed (seated) correctly. They make it sound like it's super difficult, but really it's not at all. At any rate, the Transcend brand works for Roku. Also based on what I read, you're not better off going much beyond 2, 4, or 8 GB cards for the Roku. For the person who wrote: "What was weird was that it couldn't see anything after the letter "F" and before "R." I'm not sure what that is about." It means that the card capacity is larger than the device's ability to manage. Either the PCMCIA card or the 2008 Mercy Bends couldn't really read that much. I have a friend who has an early generation Panasonic camera that was supposedly SDHC. It worked OK w/ 4GB; when he used an 8GB, his middle pictures suddenly went trash (like your music files) - _and_ the card couldn't be recovered (not even formatted). He is back to using 4GB cards. Sorry, N/A Charlie. Maybe stick to 4GB, or you _might_ get lucky w/ larger. My 2009 Sandisk works just fine w/ this card, so I am pleased as punch w/ it. Might even give a 64GB try in it ... MoreFor the person who wrote: "What was weird was that it couldn't see anything after the letter "F" and before "R." I'm not sure what that is about." I bought this, thinking, "Wow, what a great bargain!" The price was hard to pass up for an 8 Gig card. When I got it, I intended it for a specific purpose. I was going to record video on it. A couple of hours' worth. It's very possible it was my own fault for not allowing the files to finish formatting as they were saving...maybe.... I'm just not sure. But, the result was that I can watch the videos, but now it won't let me delete them, which leaves me almost no free space for further use. Basically, it ended up being a one-time-use card. Not what I was expecting. At least I didn't have to spend much money for it. Because of that, I would consider trying this one more time, to see if it may have just been my fault for "ruining" the reusable aspect of the card. ... MoreI bought this, thinking, "Wow, what a great bargain!" I already own one of these beauty's for my phone and it's worked like a dream so far! The recent purchased card is being used in an HTC EVO Shift 4G (sprint). My girlfriend can not believe how fast her phone is since she's got the card, she clams everything is faster but specifically I noticed her contacts load faster and taking pictures and viewing/browsing them is lightning fast! I transferred data from her old 2GB slow memory card that came with the phone(didn't even say class 2) it took a while to move onto my laptop. I moved all the data to the new memory card and it had speeds 18 - 22 MB/s speed, then decided to add some music (about 4 GB). The transfer speeds I remember was 23-28MB/s easily, I forgot if it went higher than that but that's amazing I think. ... MoreI already own one of these beauty's for my phone and it's worked like a dream so far! You can probably get more bang for you buck buying a higher capacity card but I wanted to spend as little as possible for my project. I installed OpenElec so I could use Kodi on my Raspberry Pi Zero as a media player for my TV. I found an online chart of SD cards that have been proven to work well with Raspberry Pi's and this card was listed so I took a chance. It works great! I'm using my NAS to actually store and serve up my video library so I don't know how this card would do for actually storing and playing videos but being a class 10 card I imagine it would work fine for that (though it doesn't have much capacity for storing many large videos).
