I'm really happy with this purchase so far. Initially I was going to get a Samsung portable SSD, but got this instead. It's cheaper yet twice the speed, and also has a much longer warranty period.I bought this to install windows 11 on it, so I can plug it into whichever computer I'm using at home and have all my stuff on it, and boot from it. It's been a good way to keep my files safer too (burglary) if I go on a long trip away I can just hide the hard drive.I have set up a few games on it too, it runs them well.Overall I'd highly recommend giving Transcend a go. The extra warranty was personally really reassuring.

So far so good...I mean you expect these to perform solidly and I've been using it to move files from a PC to a Mac and it has been flawless so far. The soft shell has a reassuring feel. I'd love (I'm sure the day will come) when I can get 20TB versions of this sort of thing!!
Got this as a time machine backup drive for my Mac; my backups are now much faster than to a spinning drive. The silicon cover on the drive is fairly thin, and doesn't add a lot of bulk if you want to throw it in a bag.
