The figure looks just like he does in the game. He may not look like much but he’s just one of those figures you gotta play with for a while to like him and see what kind of poses he can do. And his Neutron Assault Rifle is definitely one of my favorite weapons to use in the game. Really loving this line.

The figure looks just like he does in the game. He may not look like much but he’s just one of those figures you gotta play with for a while to like him and see what kind of poses he can do. Barricade should be a first rate rendition of the video game character. He looks great in both vehicle and, aside from the duck feet, look great in robot mode. He has good articulation except for the elbows owing to the design. Paint applications are sharp. And then the design team opted to employ a removal arm to allow a plug in blaster, rather than simply building in a 5mm plug to allow for a handheld blaster. The position on the blaster is rubbish, as is the unseemly sight of a dangling arm hanging off the figure's back. This should have been a home run but this design choice is a fail.
Barricade has a good vehicle mode that's pretty much a spot-on recreation of his in-game car mode, but that and the visual look of the robot mode sculpt are about where the praises end.To agree with most others:-No ankle tilt.-Top heavy and falls over easily.-The wrists can barely be posed.-His neutron assault rifle weapon is way too small.On top of the first 3 common complaints, I want to reiterate how small his weapon is compared to its in-game model. The neutron assault rifle is probably most famous for people who never played the game as the weapon Optimus has his arm transformed into on the cover the game. Even on Barricade it's too small, but if you went into this figure line hoping to mix-and-match the weapons on these bots, you will be sorely ... So the cars, in-game known as scouts, are only going to scale with other scouts. But this wasn't an issue in-game because weapons didn't scale up or down with the characters, they were one size, and weapons like the neutron assault rifle were big enough that looked powerful when a scout used them, and still serious enough when trucks (leaders), jets (scientists) and tanks (soldiers) used them as well.The weapon scale issue looks like it will be best solved by 3rd party accessory makers or folks with their own 3-printers.But to reiterate, Barricade has a good sculpt for both robot and vehicle, it's just that his robot mode doesn't pose well due to multiple design choices.

It's may be a little but longer than game (which is surprising for a deluxe class) but the look is super accurate and amazing. Overall for what is the biggest deluxe I have probably seen out of studio series the robot mode falls short sadly and alt mode picks it back up. If you want to get the set I still think it's worth the price but if you want a good poseable deluxe I'd wait for a sale or a deal and get another deluxe.
Barricade weighs in as the weakest of the current WfC release, with the least amount of accessories and easily the most limited in terms of movement and articulation. However he still is very much game accurate and he folds away into alt mode snugly and looks amazing, Studio Series are some of the best decisions Takara and Hasbro has made with this franchise. Being on par with most masterpiece grade transformers at a fraction of the cost.
Lots of kibble and not enough articulation. The only reason I gave this three stars is because I love barricade and the WFC games.
3 star because the SS86 (perceptor) series was not given as in the picture. They give another 86 model (Blurr) which we have bought before. Should clearly stated the options so that we can decide better.
I have been collecting Transformers for a long time. I'm proud to say there have been very few duds over the years, but they do happen. Barricade here happens to be one of them.1. There is no ankle pivot, which is usually standard on deluxe size and up2. The hands, the flat panel that "blocks" the hands from turning easily, and they do not fold neatly into the arms for vehicle mode3. Turning the lower arms at the elbows feels like it's going to break the elbow joint4. The amount of poseability is severely hampered by all of the kibble. Kibble EVERYWHERE!5. I would definitely have preferred a hand-held gun instead of the "gun replaces forearm".
